In todays world of woke it seems society is bending over a bit too far to issue participation trophies and make everyone feel good. This looks to be allowing slippage in the standards of health and normalcy we once stove for.
So what is the actual message behind this type of message?

I think everyone is trying to be more socially sensitive to other's plights. But when that goes too far, it doesn't work.

I was overweight in my early 20's but refused to accept it because I lifted heavy weights. One day my dad looked at me and said emphatically, you're fat!
I promptly went on a diet and lost 50 lbs.

Though the truth hurts, we must face it. But people don't need severe ridicule because that's even more harmful. Like beating a dog.

You seem to think that expressing opinion and asking questions indicates being offended....quite strange. As I am NOT offended I need no "Relief" but I have a feeling YOU are offended by my question for some weighty reason.
 
People want to do what they want to do. Different people have different values.

Whats the purpose of being "healthy"? What does it even mean to you? Is being healthy mean being skinny? Lots of dead druggies might argue otherwise. Is being fat unhealthy?

Some folks don't care how long they live. Some folks do.

Get over it.
 
Obesity is considered a co-morbidity for COVID-19, as well as for other medical conditions such as diabetes, thus putting a strain on medical care resources which impacts everyone. We, as a society, have no problem treating people (with identical gross incomes) differently via the ‘social engineering’ aspects within our federal income tax code. Perhaps it’s time to start using using BMI to alter the standard deduction and/or personal exemption amounts allowed on form 1040.

The purpose of being “healthy” is to lessen the need for medical care resources.

You have been brainwashed my independent friend to believe the government can do nothing to help us. Instead you look at it as government control. Over fifty six million folks are now fully vaccinated thanks to the push from the adults now running our government. I guess that's more control in your eyes?

It was not disguised and should be quite clear in the OP. The statement was in question form as this is a poll but I would hope intelligent people understand it.

You posted a random picture of a fat woman with no source and no context then tried to claim there's a hidden message in it. There's nothing of substance for me to miss. Perhaps you could use your words to better explain your point, assuming you have one.
