Personally I take my hat off to the crew of that plane....I think they did exactly the right thing and that is evidenced by and actual person on the flight who said the passengers on the plane gave the crew a standing ovation for their action....
I say Well Done!!!!!!!!:applaud
Yup. Their actions fuel extremists - way to go guys! Making it possible for them to get even more pissed at us and then increase the determination of REAL terrorists to want to blow up even more planes! Woohooo good job.
That is the way you look being sympathetic to their cause....I think it might make the terrorists think twice about hijacking another plane..........
I'm not sympathetic to terrorists(if thats who you're talking about). I just find it ridiculous that people consider this a publicity stunt. Np You're funny. There are people entering and exiting our borders everyday with no way for us to verify who they are, how they got into the country and if they pose a threat to Americans and you think that because we took off 6 imams off a plane terrorists will think twice about attacking us again? Open your ****ing eyes and save yourself the emotional 9/11 speech.
Look, that is not what this thread is about..........If you want to start a thread on the border go for it but don't try to hijack this thread and don't try and fool us into believing you are not sympathetic to the Imams becasue you are not fooling anyone but yourself my Liberal friend..........
Liberals like you have already forgotten about 9/11...that is the sad part.........
Hell I might even agree with you about the border situation....
LOL I never said I wasn't sympathetic to these men(I am very sympathetic to them btw) I said I wasn't sympathetic to terrorists. Why would I try not to be sympathetic with the imams? They were kicked off a plane and then neither the airline nor the passangers apologized for their obvious discrimination.
And people like you use it to justify every action commited by our goverment. Be it legal or illegal. Regardless of civil liberties and basic rights.
Yup.
All your so called precious civil rights you say your losing won't mean squat if you liberals keep trying to hinder the NSA and the CIA from doing their job and there is a nulear cloud of over the town you live in........
From what I can figure out from the news reports, it doesn't sound like they were an actual threats. None of them had weapons or anything like that.
With that said, they WERE acting suspiciously. My guess is that they were trying to make a political statement. They must have figured that either 1) US Airways would confront them, as they did, and then they could raise a stink about being discriminated against, or 2) US Airways would be too ashamed to risk appearing bigoted and would let them board despite their suspicious behavior, which would then embolden actual terrorists.
It sounds to me like US Airways made the right decision. It turns out they weren't doing anything wrong, but they WERE acting suspicious and thus US Airways was perfectly justified in asking them to leave the plane until the matter could be sorted out.

NP said:What do you believe the objective of the Imans (sic) was that boarded the plane?
That's a tough question. I think I'll have to go with choice D, "to get from point A to point B"
If it really came down to airport security catching terrorists at the last minute because they were acting suspiciously, somebody in intelligence has fornicated things up so badly that I'd demand that heads roll for it.
On the news it stated that all they was communing. they were not armed or doing anything threatening. They were making some folk uncomfortable because they are moslems.
Moslems are part of America, and no matter what Bush wants, we are not going to kill them all.
Ok, first off that is just a stupid post...communing or not, the behavior they were expressing (openly praying to Allah when it could have been done quietly and by themselves, seatbelt extentions, Osama statements) was deemed suspicious enough to get them removed from the aircraft.
And secondly its muslim not moslem or how ever the hell you spelled it
If you would, please answer me these 2 questions...and please answer them before you go off ranting again....dont pull a Hillary
1) Why did they ask for seatbelt extentions when they didnt need them in the first place and then put them on the floor at their feet when they got them?
2) Why would they sit in seats other than the ones assigned to them on their bording passes?.....and we're not talking one or two seat differences...they seperated themselves throughout the entire plane just to make sure people would notice.
-Please stop being an ignorant idiot with your idiotic rambling on how Bush hates the Muslims and wants them all dead. Your arguments dont hold any water.
PS: Dont trust every single thing you hear on the news...most of it is bias and will tell you what you want to hear
Please try this at the airport on your next flight and tell me what happens to you.
Just as you get to the gate go down on your knees and say 5 "Hail Marys" (If you are a Protestant then recite The Lord's Prayer" out loud. If you are a Buddhist any sutra representative of the sect you belong to.) Make sure you can be heard by everyone including the security people. If you haven't been hauled away by that time request a seat change. After, or maybe IF, you reach your destination please post what you experienced.
Christians don't practice that.............What a stupid post.......
