Vegetable skewers, pineapple slices, and a mixture of nuts and berries in almond milk for dessert.

I didn't eat a durum :no::2bigcry::2bigcry::2bigcry::2bigcry:

I was drinking some beers with friends outside of a fraternity (?) and there was that durum shop with all the good smell coming right onto us...if I had more money I would have eaten 3 or 4 durums!!!!

A Lender's plain bagel with some strawberry cream cheese on it.

I am- within minutes- going to be having broccoli fettuccine alfredo.
My husband's a helluva cook, when he wants to be.

:)

I have a roast beef in the oven with chunky onions and carrots. It's just about time to add the potatoes.

I bought a nice, heavy pineapple yesterday so I gotta go slice and dice it and we'll have some cottage cheese to go with it.

Tomorrow will be leftover night. I love leftover night. ;)

:peace

Tonight I had leftover broccoli & baked potato from last night.
And an ice cream.

Anyone ever notice that oven-baked potatoes don't taste too good reheated in the microwave?
They get kind of an icky bitter/burnt taste to them. The skin, I mean.
I ate it anyway. i was hungry.

I had "Dutch snert" = pea soup.
Soaked peas, pig's heel, potato, celery, carrot, garlic, bay-leaf, thyme, curry, pepper, salt.

I had chicken noodle soup out of a can along with a grilled cheese sammy:)

I had a rich vegetable stew, half a loaf of broad with garlic butter, and a piece of chocolate cake, all of which I made from scratch. I even kneaded the bread!

I had junk food and a 6 pack of Oktoberfest beer. Tomorrow I start a new workout routine so this was kinda my splurge beforehand.

I made up a huge chef salad and will also be taking it to work for lunch next two days.

I cooked up a big batch of pinto beans with hamhocks in crockpot and made some cornbread to with it. Nothing like a big bowl of pintobeans w/ onions and cornbread:cool:

I have been on my diet for 8 wks, I have another two wks to go!

In my pursuit of enlightenment (and avoidance of the IRS), I have adapted the "gulcher diet" - I spend about $2 a day on food, and only eat grains, legumes, vegetables, and fruits that grow well in New Hampshire. Why eat anything else? Meat, dairy, and imported tropical fruits are for commies!

I buy food that's locally-grown (usually by other libertarians) and in bulk, thus avoiding the sales sales, gasoline tax, fishing license tax, and a zillion other taxes that are levied on food. I have like 20 huge sacks of various varieties of beans, and I have learned to cook them so well I hardly miss "taxed food" anymore. Buckwheat is another staple. So is garlic, which I consume in quantities that would blow your mind. You can't fight a revolution without garlic!
