What Are You Reading Right Now?

Just started The War That Came Early: Hitler's War. A bit of alternate history seemed like a refreshing journey.

Finally finished "Hell at the Breech".
It was like "Cold Mountain", but better.
It also reminded me a bit of a book called "The Oldest Confederate Widow Tells All".
Possibly one of the best historical novels I've ever read.

William Ayers-To Teach. I read the written form, and am almost through with the comic book form. I found it mostly cliche'd, with some well-considered thoughts, but for the most part, it was rather sectarian.

Reliquary by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Yes I know it's dated but I'm reading and studying all of their books to help my leap from nonfiction writing to fiction.

A Cruel and Unusual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law
Nonie Darwish

An Egyptian woman discusses Shari'a Law and warns the West.

The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud

Just finished The Invention of Hugo Cabret - excellent book and fantastic illustrations. I recommend it to any kid that reads about 5th grade level and up. Adults will like it too!

I'm going to start Sideways Stories from Wayside School with the kids tomorrow. I'll be personally reading Selznik's Houdini book.

Dan Brown's 'Deception Point'.

They say an author's first book is always his best. We'll see about it.

just finished "Still Alice" debut novel about a professor diagnosed with early onset alzheimers. it was ok.

Jebus, there's been a new Artemis Fowl book out for months and I didn't even know about it until now?

Time to reread the series I guess.

buy.OLOGY by Martin LINDSTROM

...how we buy some stuff unconsciously.

Noam Chomsky, two books: 'What Uncle Sam Really Wants' and 'The Fateful Triangle'.

I'm also reading Terri Irwin's biography about Steve called 'Steve and Me'. Steve's a personal hero of mine. RIP mate.

Just finished 'Michael Foots' biography which through up a few surprises like his avid support for the UK to reclaim the Falklands. Not bad for an extreme left winger :)

About to start Tony Blair's book :)

Have you read much Chomsky?

I'm currently juggling "Transcending the Levels of Consciousness" by David R. Hawkins, "Awakening the Energy Body" by Ken Eagle Feather, and "The Hidden Power of the Bible" by Ernest Holmes.

Not much yet. Yourself?

His logic is piercing though. I plan to go through all of his works.

Yea I've read about 4 of his books. He definitely thinks outside the box:)

I started in on Beau Geste last night. I've always been fascinated by the French Foreign Legion, so I am really planning to enjoy this.

I tried to start in on Communion by Whitley Streiber, but I was scared ****less after the first twenty pages, so I had to give it up. :3oops:

I'm a little scared too, right now. Just started reading The Plague Dogs, and it begins with a hellish scene. I have confidence, though, that Mr. Adams will take me to a better place.
