Absolutely worth reading this book! Not only does Brinkley do a wonderful job of documenting the immediate aftermath of Katrina and the effect it had on New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf coast, but he also convincingly documents the failure of FEMA to adequately respond to the disaster, and what part the actions and inactions of Pres. Bush, Secy. Chartoff, FEMA Dir. Michael Brown, Gov. Blanco, and Mayor Nagin played in contributing to the disaster.

I am currently going back and forth between Moby Dick and the Divine Comedy.

The Road to Serfdom by F.A. Hayek.

Crime and Punishment - by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Edited by Seymour Martin Lipset and Sheldon S. Wolin- The Berkeley Student Revolt: Facts and Interpretations, 1965.

This paperback was in terrific condition for a first edition (like..wow) when I got it-then I just had to ruin it by opening it and actually read it.:doh

Reading:
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific

By J Maarten Troost.

I am currently reading The Dark Side of Liberalism by Phil Kent.

It covers four Generals who were all involved in Iraq. Pretty good.

Rereading Watership Down, Richard Adams.
After this, probably reread Shardik.

Hey, sweet. I can't believe I didn't think about this before. It gave me the idea to actually count how many books I currently have in my university apartment and not at home. Ended up finding out I have over 100 titles sitting on my desk at this moment.

Oops.

Hey, is there a way to quickly label all books as "I own"?

Here's Mine
