This is the first song I ever heard by john proine on pbs one early senday morning. I went right out and bought the album this song was on. I have been a huge fan ever since.

Marilyn Manson: Tainted Love

LOL - video's too funny.

I saw these guys at a record hop at the elms ballroom in ohio in the fifties. I was about 10 feet away from the band. There were on three of them then.

This was john lennon's favorite singer. I read it in a magazine.

I admit to being a Parrothead. I just came back from Cleveland on the weekend, and driving home on the rainy cold 1-90, I put on some Jimmy and immediately felt the need to slab on some sunscreen.

Here's the most beautiful love song of all time:

Here's some more Jimmy, for good measure.

What I was a kid, I used to love to sing, especally in the car. I have fond memories of songs from the early 70's, no matter if they're somewhat cheesy to my current tastes. Now my short-term memory is relatively terrible, but my long-term one is pretty good. About 15 years ago, I was at a party and someone put on some Jimmy. When "Come Monday" came on, I freaked. First time I had heard it since I was a kid, and I had remembered a lot of the lyrics. Until that night, I never knew who sang it. The next day, I bought my first Jimmy Buffett CD.

For some reason, people make fun of me for liking Jimmy Buffett. He's a good writer. The "tropical" shtick is a bit tiresome, but his music is top notch.

To me, Jimmy Buffett music is hella fun!

I love the gayness of the singer with the hanky. The guitar player is swaked out, oh boy.

Ian Astbury was the singer for the "Doors of the 21st Century" with Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger, and Stewart Copeland on drums.

The best garage song of all time.

? is one interesting dude...

I read somewhere that this song was originally "69 Tears" with the double-entendre intended, but the record company wanted it changed to "96."
