Can we please have a weather forum in which those of us who live in semi-Arctic dystopias can whine about how cold it is?

I'd also like to take this moment to point out that today, it was sunny and 29C, or 84F.

After spending yesterday here in Toronto where we had temps in the negative teens and windchills in the lower negative twenties - ON THE 18TH OF EFFING NOVEMBER - I'm fully supportive of this proposal. Posters have forums to bitch about everything else, why not weather?

I'm right across the lake from you, and today was utterly brutal.

However, I do not envy our friends near Buffalo, who have gotten about six feet of snow dumped on them in the last day.

I have nothing to complain about in comparison to what you're going through up there, but so you know... it's 15F here this morning, which is totally uncalled for down here in the south.

I have a friend in Amherst who sent a bunch of us an email last night with pictures of her winter wonderland, which isn't so wonderlandish. Honestly, she sounded like she's on the verge of depression or a meltdown or something. I can't even imagine.

It's a winter wasteland out there. About 130 miles of the thruway has been shut down for about 24 hours now.

Are the Bills playing at home this week? This is the kind of weather that makes football fun.

Did they get a lot of snow in the usual places, like Oswego and Watertown?
 
I do not have quite the same issues here in GA, no snow unlike 50% of the rest of the nation today. But it is 21F at the moment and the report suggests we are only going to see roughly 6 hours above freezing today.

Damn Al Gore!

I heart the arctic vortex. It gives me much to contemplate like how it frosted on the inside of one of my storm doors and not the outside of it. (I know the answer but am pretending I don't because it is an oddity)

It is 48 outside, low of the day, and I am freezing my can off indoors at 67.

I was not made to live under 80 degrees.

And here I was bitching about temps in the teens in Minneapolis.

That isn't too terrible for this time of year really, but I'm a little pissed I'm not getting out ahead of the freeze. Ah well... 2 more weeks and it's over for good.

There are many things I won't miss about Minnesota, but temperatures so low it hurts to breathe is right near the top of that list.
 
More people died in BUF in the last 24 hours than have of Ebola in the USA.

I just looked. It is 18 here according to he thermometer on the back porch. I moved to GA to get away from temps like this...

It was down to 27 this morning, now about 32 in Virginia.

I think Buffalo is still the snowfall capital of the US.

No, we will not be creating a forum for weather. There are already forums in place for that sort of discussion (Off-topic as a prime example). And yes it's damn cold and I should know. I spent the last 2 days moving in this crap. Makes me wish global warming was real.
