After all, Obama's generation of elites were the ones that inserted the hyphen so blacks could be "African-American"
^^^ This.
Add to that - I don't exactly "follow" Hollywood, but I never heard of this woman. Is she a big deal, or just a low-rent nobody saying outrageous stuff, possibly for attention?
Natural unattractiveness is more a matter of character,
Not finding dark skin attractive is not bigotry.i.e. the extent to which that is warped by bigotry of the type you show here.
One can only hope you are girded against the trauma you will no doubt encounter, once your education has progressed sufficiently for you to realize that you are as much a descendant of original Africans as we all are. Which, to lessen the shock by giving you advance notice here, were very dark-skinned.
That probably works both ways in that dark-skinned people wouldn't want you to be part of theirs.~.......................... The only thing that matters is that I am not dark-skinned, which I thank god for everyday.
That probably works both ways in that dark-skinned people wouldn't want you to be part of theirs.
Obama pioneered getting everyone to think along the lines of racial and social identity. After all, Obama's generation of elites were the ones that inserted the hyphen so blacks could be "African-American" - IOW, "I'm not really one of you", even though they couldn't find Africa on a map. So everyone has a hyphen but whites. There is no such thing as an "English-American". They are just plain "Americans". Same with Mexicans and Samoans. Hyphens now tell others "I'm not really one of you". All that hyphen was supposed to do was remind people that you weren't totally American. Now it means "you are on the other side". Especially if you don't have a hyphen, you are really on the other side! Ask a black person in England about their citizenship and they will reply "English" or "British" or "Scottish" without hyphens.
The elites have branded minorities in such a way they will never be fully American, and will always be an outsider even when they are inside. You are not an American. You are a Chinese-American born and raised in the Bronx with Americans.
So as race relations disintegrate thanks to the media and Hollywood blaming "white people", this sudden idea of using whites as scapegoats is only going to further isolate minorities, and especially blacks just as the Trump economy has turned their economic prospects positive. White liberals trying to connect with blacks is just another way of trying to exploit them because they are now "interesting". The only reason Hollywood gives a crap is that blacks have more money now and are interested in movies other than "Blackula", etc. - the preferred genra for "Blacksploitation" movies. White Hollywood sees association with blacks as "edgy". It's all about their own image and finding an audience among the "hyphens" so they can get hired. The exploitation never stops. It only changes direction.
People are afraid enough of racism as it is, and it is bogus to act like they aren't. The end result of all of this will be a return to races retreating back into groups, economically and socially because people naturally want to avoid friction and being uncomfortable. They want to put in their eight hours and go home. You aren't their problem. The husband, kids, and car is.
Hollywood will move on, the media will yell about White Nationalism... Well it's hard to argue you aren't white when you are, isn't it? And we are a nation, aren't we? And hell, we don't even have hyphens do we? Well I guess that settles it for the half wits that are trying to shape our world for us.
no day is truly complete without a white nationalist "i'm such a mistreated victim" thread. thanks.
I think that Ellen Barkin no longer looks like Ellen Barkin, who, btw, wasn't a half bad character actress in her day.
Politics must be her new profession. So sad to see these Hollywood has beens needing this much attention.
It should, of course. I can only speak for myself here but I'm not a fan of cherry picking comments from idiots on social media outlets in an attempt to portray their views as the popular thought. We all know there are extremists out there. Why give them an additional platform here? I'd hate to see us sink even deeper into extreme partisan idiocy and become like the comments section on youtube.
..yesyou read the OP, yes?
She also made a cryptic comment recently, which could be seen as wishing death on the president. I've read several comments here where people say something along the lines of, 'she's no big deal, why bother talking about this?' Her Twitter account has 166k followers, which means she has plenty of people listening to what she says.
Where's the link? Aren't we supposed to post a link to what we're creating a thread for? How can anyone comment on this without knowing what it was she said?
i am a white man. white nationalism is and always has been bull****, and that has nothing to do with the problems that all non-rich people are experiencing as the economy evolves into post-labor automation. don't expect me to get all skeered that there might be too many Hondurans here when my own coworkers are spending their long, bored days trying to figure out how to replace me with a robot. that's the real risk, and it ain't a brown person or the fact that i can't use a racial slur in polite company. open your eyes.
Who determines who the Hollywood elitists are? Is there like a list? Are they rated annually? Who rates them?
For quite a while I've noticed the adjective "elitist" ascribed by truthatallcost to leftists, liberals, socialists, educators, Democrats and the like. I've often wondered how truthatallcost (who is known to frequently struggle with the truth) has been able to determine the elitists among all these groups. He must subscribe to an Elitist list on the internet. But how is the elitist status determined?
I'm not much of a celebrity fan. I don't watch as much television as truthatallcost apparently does. I don't read National Enquirer. Celebrities obviously have a huge impact on truthatallcost.
I do know who Ellen Barkin is, though I can't connect her to a movie or TV program. Hell, I didn't know she was still acting. It surprises me to discover that she is one of the Hollywood elite. How could I ever have formed political opinions without having Barkin's input?
Brainwashing.

You aren't even a tad bit curious about why the same media that eviscerated Roseanne Barr over racist Tweets hasn't said a peep about Ellen Barkin's racist Tweets?
Is black nationalism ok with you?
How about brown nationalism?
Or Arab nationalism? Would that be ok with you?
link me to a post where i said anything about Rosanne Barr.
I'm not saying that you did or didn't. I'm asking you whether you're curious about why the media turned Barr's tweet into a national story while ignoring Barkin's.
i've allotted very little time for white victimhood.
You immediately dismiss his grievance as "white victimhood" without giving it any consideration.
