I know Iran funds Hamas. Has nothing to do with Biden and Iran's unfrozen $6 billion for humanitarian aid.

One can condemn the attacks and agree with the Commissioner, but there are good guys on both sides. The bad guys are those that demand the absolute destruction of the other side. Hamas cannot be viewed as good guys here. Neither can those on the Israeli side that are trying to set up an apartheid-style reality in the region.
 
For all the wrong that people do to each other…

For all the innocents dead and that will die in the coming days and weeks, possibly months from this, lot of families hurting and will be hurting, first thing I always think of.

For those who have been horrifically kidnapped and will be used as bargaining chips or worse, can’t imagine their terror and the incredible feelings of what their families will go through, I hope that their cowardly captors will be punished through the harshest means if they can find them.

This is not going to be a small thing.

Not after the way Israel has sat out the Ukraine war. They will need to raise taxes and buy what they need.

However, if we are not bankrolling Israel, we will have no business telling them when to stop the tanks. If they clear out the West Bank and Gaza, that's OK with me.
 
The Palestinians need a Gandhi-type leader to step up and lead. Hamas ensures only more death and suffering. A peaceful resistance to the Israeli state is the way to go, as history proves.

Gaza getting pummeled. Hamas has brought this fury on the people of Gaza. Feel awful for the civilians who are trapped there.
Death toll also rising on the Israeli side… just awful to watch from afar.
 
The world is watching and it’s obvious who the bad guy’s are.

Israel is by definition an occupier.

I just wish people would come out and be honest about their reason for supporting one side over the other. Anti Palestinian sentiment is based primarily on cultural and racial bigotry.

But one party has all of the power and the unwavering support of the US as our nuclear buddy next to “our” oil.

The other has little unguided rockets and terrorists.

We did not consider it “terrorism” when the Israelis picked houses at random every evening and kicked the doors in at dinner time, holding the family at gunpoint while tearing the home apart.

That is not war. That is not “security”. That is terrorism.

Frankly, I tend to fall in the “Israel has driven the Palestinians crazy” camp. What happens to a people when they live as they live and the world gets the FOX News version of their plight. Where It’s all their fault and what they deserve.

When the massively more powerful party in a dispute says it’s the weak and without agency that are the problem, they are lying. Always.

Most of that being warehoused military equipment and humanitarian aide.
