Venezuela Is Falling Apart

what a surprise, and now the collapsing Venezuelan government (leftists/socialists) is mobilizing the military to crush dissent (70% of Venezuelans voted for a new congress with leftists/socialists reduced to a tiny minority).

it could happen here, people, let democrats gain too much power and they'll murder us to keep it.

No, you are wrong, so let me help you. They are all socialist countries.

Mexicans only help the US. They are willing to work the jobs Americans don't want.

8f they help The United States, then Canada should be begging them to move to Canada. Why isn't that happening?

If they're so helpful to The United States, why aren't they helpful to Mexico? Mexico is a **** hole.

If it weren't for us, Canada would go belly up.

Venezuela is collapsing because of socialism.

It's collapsing because of bad decisions the government has made including not diversifying its economy. They are relying too heavily on oil to bring in the money.

The absence of a free market caused that lack of diversity.

Mexico is also a Federal Republic which is privatizing much of its resources and making a very few extremely rich and everyone else poor.

You think the rich people in Venezuela are affected by this collapse? The rich, the government class? Why hell no.

Socialism is always for everyone but the socialists.

Um, the reality is that the richest people in that country is a banker and a few that own privatized companies. Keep it real at least.

The government class isn't hurting. It never is. This is what socialism delivers.

Every time socialism fails, which is every time, it's because of bad decisions by the government. Does anyone else see a pattern?

Please feel free to give some examples of this so called "government class" and don't forget to include the income they make. TIA

No, not necessarily. Explain to me why a state run oil company can't do as well as a privatized one?

Singularly it may not. However, a free market allows the creation of other companies that will figure out other ways to make money. The government class not only doesn't have a clue how to make money other than using legislation to take it, because they've never produced anything in their lives, but they aren't worried about it, because they know they can just just take the money they need from the people. Again, it's socialism for everyone but the socialists.

Bernie Sanders is a perfect example. He was unemployed until he was 40 y/o. He got his first job when he won a local election. Now, he is set up for life and didn't do a damn thing to put back in the pot; never produced a product, never created profit and never created a single job.

Great, only I haven't seen a true free market economy yet. What we have here in the US is monopolies. For instance, we have changed our electric company to a privatized one that basically has quadrupled the price since the switch. I see no proof that handing over state owned resources produces a so called free market. When we talk about "producing" things, many times we are simply talking supplying resources. I've no problem with private companies producing products and/or supplying non essential resources.

We are talking about Venezuela. Please back up your point about the so called wealthy government class in that country.
