Ok, so it was Assad's rockets, in Assad's neighborhood (very secure, we're talking the capital)...
These are rockets & rocket launchers that were apparently shipped to Syria quite a few decades ago.
The place from which the launch occurred is another matter for speculation as some suggest Mt. Qasioun, or the military bases near it, and on it.
Btw, as I already shown in the videos the rebels tried to shell these Syrian army positions from populated areas - meaning that they can get easily, and relatively close to these positions - as 8 km is the approx max. range of the launchers that they used. (Type 63 - 107 mm)
5-10 teams of rocket launcher dudes sneak into different locations, at the same time. None are detected. They set up rocket launch sites in the street (capital city), prepare the rockets and launch them...
First of all see above, I already showed that "rebels" fired rockets from populated areas, without being interfered or "detected".
But here it starts to get interesting, a map would help but the UN were too lazy to provide us with one :2razz:, but you can use an Atlas from your local library or Google map.
Site 1: Al-Moadamyeh - The already familiar to you, M-14 140 mm rockets were used.
According to the UN report from an azimuth of 25-35, with a max. range of 10km (M-14 maximum range is approximately 10 km).
The "triangle" that is created from these data points, is actually quite long.
EDIT: Sorry my bad, just wanted to make something clearer - the azimuths mentioned in the UN report are 34 & 35, I used the 25-35 figure trying to account for a possible error in the trajectory of the rocket.
Site 2: Zamalka/Ein Tarma - Unfortunately the UN report didn't identify that rocket, it has a 12 cm body with a 360 cm war head - without knowing what it is it is quite hard to discuss its characteristics.
No one notices. Not at any of the locations.
Really?
See above.
Cheers,
Fallen.
