Hello friends,
This thread is to ask for examples if there ever was a TVshow you were watching where at some point they drastically crossed the line withyour personal value system so bad that you never watched them again.
This is NOT a discussion of your personal values, but justabout something you saw on a show that really crossed the line with them so badyou never watched that show again. Somuch that you said, “ Oh, hell no!”, and never watched that show again.
I have three examples…
1. The Man Show – there was one bit where AdamCorolla was taking his mother out, but it was completely romantic between themboth and it finished with them both going to a motel room and closing the doorbehind them. Consentual sex being implied
Oh, hell NO!...click
2. Barney Miller – Once a guy came in and reportedbeing robbed of his paycheck and the detectives said it was nothing to getupset about or fight the thief about.Well, I do not know about the rest of the population, but my paychecksare the source of my kids food, clothing, and keeping the bills paid and a roofover all our heads. No damned thief isgoing to rob my family of their money, and their source of security. It IS something to fight over.
Oh, hell NO!...click
3. The Jeffersons – On one episode George Jeffersonhad a manager of one of his many dry cleaning shops quit, and he was lookingfor a replacement from within his employees.A white lady who had been there for many years was suggested, but Georgesaid no.He said his was a black ownedbusiness and only black people would be promoted to management positions evenif they were not as qualified as anyone of another race.
Oh, hell NO!...click
Sometimes these TV shows cross the line inmaking a point that the writers and producers want to shove down our throats, regardless of legal, moral, or ethical standards. It is their TV show and they can say whatthey want to, but I can also exercise my right to change the channel and neverwatch they show again.
So, friends, have you even seen somethingon TV that was so “over the top” against your beliefs that you vowed to neverwatch that show again?
Remember, this is not about your values, but about some shows you may have seen that completely pissed you off enough soyou never watched them again.
I would love to hear about them.
PS...I wrote this on WORD as I was afraid it might time out before I was done and I would loose it all, so I apologize for some of the spaces between words being omitted in the pasting.
