Truth Social is currently beating Twitter & TikTok on the Apple Store

Well, I'm not a big Streisand fan but I give her her props.

And, it helps when one doesn't post a plethora of lies and unadulterated bullshit. It helps keep the liberals and censorship police at bay and, as you can see, I do tend to get a LOT of "likes." (Not that I am doing it for the "likes" but I get 'em anyways.)

But, make no mistake, even I get spanked from time to time here. Not so much about the content of what I post, but more the way I say it. I could do better, I suppose. But what fun is there in that?

I'm the first to admit, I can use some improvement in the way I point out all the rightwing lies and bullshit around here. It's such low hanging fruit. So hard to resist. I could exercise more patience and better choose my words, perhaps. But, seriously. How many ways are there to tell a dumbass they are being a dumbass, without offending them? Even though I think they have it coming, I could do better in expressing myself. Maybe I should just resort to my southern roots and just say, "Bless your heart" instead. (Which is the same thing as saying, "you're a dumbass." Not you, per se. Just speaking in general terms.)

Well, lets look at this logically.

The number of people who actually care about social media is finite. The number out of that group that is already on Twitter or TikTok absolutely dwarfs Truth Social.

Taking those things into account, if Tik Tok adds 10K users, thats actually pretty impressive since they already have so many users. If Truth adds 20K today, you are basically looking at the bulk of thier users.

They are not the same.

i definitely did not install the Twitter app on my phone today. that happened years and years ago.


i bet Tucker Carlson didn't install it today either.

I do!

But it helps when opinions are backed by facts. (Something Trumpkin's know very little about.)

I once had a dear friend from Lago Vista, TX tell me, after I questioned her post about a long debunked Trumper claim, "The last I heard, I am a Texan and an American. I am free to believe what I want to believe." That about sums it up for the folks out there Trumpsville. 'Mericuh! Facts be damned.

I don't see Trump as being able to stick to his pledge to not return to Twitter, even if he is allowed to. Twitter is just too big an opportunity as and information and branding outlet for him to self delete himself from. It would be like a company refusing to use radio, TV, or newspaper ads to promote their product... relying instead on placards placed under windshield wipers when your car is parked on the street.

Just like Trump's casinos, his university, and his online steaks; eventually his Truth Social thing will dry up and blow away in the wind like an old dog turd, and then he will come back to Twitter, claiming he is returning to help make Twitter better.... for the country and the people.

There are two companies which I really hate too: YoutubeTV and Amazon. But I am subscribed to them, and I use them as they are the best games in town at what they do. I hate their politics, but like the electric company, the trash collection service, and the water company; I'm not going to go without lights, sanitation, and water just because I disagree with the politics of the utility companies.

Twitter is just TOO BIG, for anyone in the business of branding, poitics, and information to ignore---especially Donald Trump.

What I do know is that creating Apple iPhone apps and creating Android apps is like two completely different worlds.
But, not ever having an iPhone, and not developing apps for either, I may be way off on that. This just my educated guess.

True. It is keeping many people from their site. But see my post above. From my view and understanding it is a parallel development effort, and the expense that comes with that.
