Trump tells Iran ‘make a deal or it’s war’

War with Iran means a ground invasion, right?
Can't imagine that would be necessary. Just taking out military, communications, government, and infrastructure facilities would probably do the trick.

It turns out the government there is deeply unpopular with its own people. Many of them are just waiting for a chance for someone to just weaken the regime's military even a little bit, and they can take it from there. If this is coordinated with dissident groups both within and outside the country, we could be looking at regime change there- and that would be a huge step towards peace and stability in the region- not to mention the world.

Recent anti-government protests in Iran:

Russia is losing as many men in 2 months as we did in 8 years in Vietnam. By that measure alone our army was far better back then that then the Russian military today.
We’ve already established your claims about Russian losses are meaningless, because you try and deny they even have field hospitals.

Gee, Saddam thought the same thing. How’d that go for him again?

So much for Trumper’s pre election stance of the no more wars presidency. Can’t wait to see the pretzel formations.

Iranian pilots who were in literal prison cells only a few weeks earlier proudly flew sorties against the Iraqi invaders.
If it's done right, it doesn't have to be that way. It could be more like Germany.

The U.S. military had supposedly every advantage on paper, yet never managed to even come close to defeating the North Vietnamese Army or Air Force.

It was outthought, outmaneuvered, and beaten so badly the U.S. invented a whole “stabbed in the back” myth to cope.
Funny how quickly you shifted those goalposts.
Seems to be a pattern every time your bs gets called out.

The repeated failed offensives say otherwise.

The US military has plenty of experience losing to insurgents, yes.

And those defeats demonstrate how laughable your sputtering is.
Hmmmm. Whose opinion to go with. The Ukrainians who have been using that western equipment to fight the Russians or the opinion of one who couldn’t even make it past basic training and has had a love affair with Russia ever sense.

Really tough call there.

Where the Nazis embraced us because they knew the Soviets would actually punish them.

Whose going to play that role in Iran?

The invasion literally could not have happened without meaningful U.S. involvement. It would not have gotten off the ground on its own.
Meaningful towards Cuba. A tiny part of the US military.

I understand that is a tough concept for you to understand but keep trying and I know you will get there.

Hmm. What to go with, the actual reports of failed Ukrainian offensives and repeated retreats, or American apologist whining?

Real tough call there ;)

I do wonder if a certain person is being paid for each comment he posts on DP.
If it’s the person I who am thinking of then no I doubt he is. He is just incredibly butt hurt as the US Army told him he didn’t have what it takes.

The literal millions of tons of ordinance dropped on Indochina in utterly failed campaigns demonstrate how meaningless your flailing is ;)

I understand you can’t handle facing historical reality, but that doesn’t actually make it go away.

Yeah no I will go with the Ukrainians over you all day long.
I bet most of them could actually make it through basic training.

What “goalposts”? You sobbing “lies all lies” isn’t an argument.

Call me selfish but while we have the world's best negotiator working for us we have to empower him to do as much as possible.
You're a POE, aren't you?

Noticed you didn’t want to comment on your goal post moving huh. Wonder why.

Yeah no I will go with the Ukrainians over you all day long.
I’ll go with the actual results over your whining all day long, yes.

It didn’t go well for the much vaunted American equipment ;)

And no, I didn’t forget how you ran when I pointed out America’s continued celebration of the fight to save slavery.

You think we dropped millions of tons of bombs on indochina to invade Cuba.
Or you just defecting because you argument is falling apart faster then you can type.

You know exactly what goal posts I am talking about.
Just fyi playing dumb is rarely a good debate tactic.

You squealed that the U.S. failure in Cuba was because it “only committed a few resources”.

It committed vastly more and still lost in Indochina, so that’s clearly false.

I’m “defecting” now? According to who?

Again the Ukrainians, you know the people actually using that equipment disagree with you.

I never ran from your bs. That is a straight up lie. Add that to the long list.

You cried “lies all lies”. That isn’t an argument, much less one with “goalposts.”
