Trump says US cannot give every person it wants to deport a trial (3 Viewers)

So Trump shows he doesn't understand how current immigration law works. Trials aren't a routine thing in immigration court.

We need the law updated to get further away from putting new arrivals at the end of a long line.
If only there was a bipartisan border bill that added these kind of resources...

You mean the law updated like the one Trump tanked because it was good election issue? Like that?

Argue with your Constitution which protects illegal immigrants and gives them certain rights-including due process and equal protection under the law, just as it does you. Your baseless opinions are irrelevant.

Due process means what to you? Please explain.

It just shows you how their arguments have no depth and basis in fact or law......down to arguing a word LOL
Your home is where you are a legal resident. Garcias home is El Salvador.

Yes, people here illegally should just be removed. What libs want is to flood the country with illegals then demand an impossible standard for their removal.

Clearly you have not learned the value of due process.

I am likely part of your "you people" yet do not want the the country flooded with folks here hiding from Immigration nor do I want new documented arrivals lingering for years and years. Current process stinks.

It's lengthy cuz of Due Process & current law.

Your Constitution is "fake news"? I suggest you read this:

You're STILL ignorant of the statutes which empower the State department to forgo constitutional protections.

Stop pretending to know more than I do. You're ignoring these statutes.

"[Kilmar Abrego Garcia] is not coming back to our country." - Attorney General Pam Bondi

Libs are now throwing around 'due process' like they know what it means. What is the due process to which illegals are entitled prior to removal?

50 U.S. Code § 21 - Restraint, regulation, and removal, specifically Section 2.

We need to define the differences between the criminal justice system and the immigration system as they pertain to those that find themselves afoul of either or both.

Then you don't get to deport everyone you want.

Your Constituton overrides anything else-including statutes-especially any considered un-constitutional. In short the Constitution is the supreme law of the land.

Which part of the constitution says you get to just decide it doesn't count?

If we're at the point that our government can send people to prison without a trial, then we're not America anymore. If all it takes is some unelected bureaucrat declaring you are a foreign terrorist and nobody can challenge this decision, we're not America anymore.

If that's the power our executive branch holds, if I were the next president I'd be rounding up every MAGA voter I can. After all, they're terrorists who are a danger to America. They don't get trials, I just say they're criminals and it becomes true. Right? This is what Trumpers want our government to be able to do, right?

The Constitution does not say "you have a right to due process, except when inconvenient for the President's policies."
I agree there should be some "due process" but that only needs to determine if you are here legally or not.

Then he should first concentrate on hunting down those with criminal records and those involved in criminal activity and leave the non violent non criminal undocumented for phase 2.
Yes, and they focus on finding them. In the process of the hunt, they come in contact with others who are here illegally, so what is wrong with deporting them as they are found?

They are. The SCOTUS already told the administration basically to cut it out, and were in such a rush that they didn't wait for the dissent.

The administration is trying to pretend the SCOTUS didn't dunk on them.
I don't think so. I've not seen anything challenging the use of the El Salvadoran prison.

"they classified as terrorists".....just by snapping their fingers or "just thinking about it"?
It seems they are doing this in a proper manner. We should even classify our own gang members as domestic terrorists. After all, what is a gang?

Did all 400k people that Obama deported in 2012 have a trial before an administrative judge?
Due process is not the same thing as a trial. I do not believe you will find any dispute that the 400K people deported during Obama were denied due process...

This is the misunderstanding that many people have with regards to protocols and "due process" with immigration violations. With immigration law, nobody is "accused" of anything, and immigration violations are NOT prosecuted as a crimes,. there is no guarantee of "due process" (i.e., arraignment, indictment, trial, conviction, etc.).

If a migrant is in the U.S. illegally, then they are subject to deportation. . . . No trial. No jury.
... while your misunderstanding is thinking that "due process" means arraignment, indictment, trial, conviction.... It means that each deportee has the right of notice and the opportunity to object, make a case that they should not be deported because of X, Y or Z, and have their case heard...

FALSE.

That's a myth spread by people who are ignorant of the law, and whom the constitution applies to. The constitution protects only those who are born in the U.S., naturalized citizens, and those who have permanent residence status (a visa of some sort).

Which words in the Constitution indicate that "the constitution protects only those who are born in the U.S., naturalized citizens, and those who have permanent residence status"?

any of them?
