First is the attack pattern. It would appear they used 3 bombs per targeted sight . In the photo you can see two clusters of 3 penetration holes (red circles).

I matched those to older photos and it appears that the triangular grouping on the top targeted an area with a small access door, and the damage to that area seams to have unearthed a lot of support structure.

Second, I find it pretty interesting that none of the strikes by the US or Israel have targeted the big rectangular bunker.

Third is the yellow circle which shows what appears to be a rather large depression where a hill used to be. I would guess this is the biggest sign of a successful strike since it indicates a collapse of the underground bunker.

There were 6 holes. Originally reported as 3. CNN Cedric showed sat data noting 6 penetrations
Could be air vents and / or an attempt to destabalize the mountain

Trump supporters and Republicans are jumping up and down, insisting that the yesterday's strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities were the best strategic choice available to the United States. They insist it was the right thing to do. They insist it was the obvious thing to do. If the decision to start an offensive war against Iran was so obviously in the interests of the U.S. then Congress would have certainly approved the act beforehand.

I fear part of the reason why Trump did this was to expand his own power. If Trump can start an offensive war in direct violation of the Constitution and suffer no consequences, Trump can do virtually anything. There are few acts a government can engage in more consequential than war, let alone an illegal, offensive war. And now we see Republicans and Trump supporters who spent the entirety of 2024 calling Biden a "warmonger" line up to defend Trump's illegal military strike yesterday.

It is my sincere fear that yesterday was the beginning of the end for our Republic. Who will stop Trump if he decides to declare martial law? Who will stop Trump if he declares that the 2026 or 2028 elections should be cancelled? Who will stop Trump if he decides to kill protestors or deport U.S. citizens on a massive scale to CECOT? Who will stop Trump if he uses Predator drones to kill his political opponents? Trump has already begun detaining and prosecuting Democrats around the country. Who will stop Trump if he begins detaining Democrats without any excuse?

Trump supporters bitch and moan every day about "illegals."

Trump is the illegal now.

Trump must be removed from office before he causes more damage to our Republic.

Not just like the "whole Ukraine fiasco." Funding a separate country or organization is not the same as engaging in war. If this were true, the U.S. and the Soviet Union would have already destroyed the planet through a nuclear exchange.

And Congress funded and approved everything we sent to Ukraine!

U.S. engaged in an offensive action directly against Iran without Congressional approval. This is illegal.

Yes, no rush, just wanted to make sure it didn't fall through the cracks of a fast-moving thread! But what a story, eh? For me, it opens up a whole other mystery as to why Saddam used them and then stopped using them, but for some reason kept them buried for some other future purpose, and that even Iraqi records didn't indicate that they were stored there. Maybe he was hoping exactly something like that would happen. Hiding them under non-chemical weapons and no paper trail is wild....one has to wonder if anyone else in his regime knew...

Regardless, I've broken my own rule about not discussing it further, so all that is for another thread! :geek:
