Trump Launches War On Iran

Then with all of this, if we agree to your supposition, how do we know the highly enriched materials were indeed down there? If at all? Or, if somewhere else?
Very simple reasons.

1. Science.

2. They have 5 operational nuclear reactors. These require enriched uranium as fuel.

3. Iran has been completely transparent about what these facilities do, i.e. process and enrich uranium for nuclear fuel.

4. The plutonium being produced by the reactors hast to be going somewhere. Iran has spent decades modifying, designing, and manufacturing ballistic missiles for the purpose of delivering nuclear warheads. So I think we know what Iran intends to do with it.

Yes, no rush, just wanted to make sure it didn't fall through the cracks of a fast-moving thread! But what a story, eh? For me, it opens up a whole other mystery as to why Saddam used them and then stopped using them, but for some reason kept them buried for some other future purpose, and that even Iraqi records didn't indicate that they were stored there. Maybe he was hoping exactly something like that would happen. Hiding them under non-chemical weapons and no paper trail is wild....one has to wonder if anyone else in his regime knew...

Regardless, I've broken my own rule about not discussing it further, so all that is for another thread! :geek:

There's an awful lot there, not the least is the in-depth detailed nature of the NYT, and the credibility of it as a news organization.

Thanks again for providing it.

The test will be if Netanyahu keeps banging the drum to "finish the job" and try to take out the regime. If the extent of the US attack is limited to these bombings he might be spared the scorn of the MAGAverse who don't want any involvement in foreign conflicts. I don't think there's much argument about the Islamic regime in Iran is less than ideal, but without a real sense of what comes after it there's the risk of inviting a lot of chaos in the vacuum its absence will create, and
that's exactly the kind of scenario some in the MAGAverse and liberals are looking to avoid.

It scares me to think I'm aligning with MAGA, but it is what it is.

So yes, given Iran suffered well over ten times as many deaths from U.S. backed attacks as died on 9/11, complaining about their actions is rather laughable.

Not relevant to anything I said. I swear, if someone commented that banana splits taste good, you would come back with some shit like whatabout 'dem South American tyrants the US supported.

Doom and gloom? What world have you been living in for the last however many decades? I don’T have to pretend history doesn’t exist because Republicans wanted to bomb brown people again and are already searching for a way to deflect from their new war.

Besides it IS doom and gloom for Amrerica's Hamas. Just like the terrorists in Gaza, the democrats face utter annihilation.

With the loss of the closest ally of the democrats, Iran - it is dark indeed for the enemy of America.

No they aren’t. 😂 They are uranium processing facilities that produce fuel for Iran’s reactors. They are not nuclear power plants.

🤔
Enriching uranium means its radioactive. Lol.

If they made fuel for reactors then there was no need to attack them

Grandpa fell in the well! Call 911!

"Whatabout those Iranians the US helped gas?

It’s sounding increasingly likely that the mission failed too lolololol

A bit of that, but likely driven by wanting to side with who he thinks is winning and will ultimately "win". The question is what "winning" actually means, which has been a mixed bag of goals from eliminating Iran's nuclear program which this does not do to regime change that this doesn't do either.
Trumps now talking regime change

We don't really know, though, with there being no radioactive materials detectable at the site. Were there no materials, ever? Or, were materials moved?

I’ve been waiting for that to be pointed out. We can’t trust Iran when they say there are no plans for a nuclear weapon. We can totally trust them that there is no radiation.

Exactly. The MOP's are expected to penetrate 180 ft. Fordow is apparently deeper than that, under solid rock.

That there was no detectable radiation in the expelled silt, leads me to believe it's possible the bombs didn't do the job, or there indeed was no enriched materials there as Iran & the IAEA profess.
He doesnt understand how easy we can detect radiation

That’s what I’d like to know myself.

Because it doesn’t seem it was IN the facilities we bombed.

So…now where is it?
These aren’t storage facilities and we don’t know where Iran hides the naughty stuff.
He doesnt understand how easy we can detect radiation
You don’t understand the science involved so read my posts for an education.

No doubt. They will make a bunch of money as prices likely soar.

I agree. I don’t trust Bibi at all - if backed into a corner, I don’t doubt he’d use his nukes. He’s proven he’s willing to commit horrific atrocities.

You trust Bibi not to use his nukes if cornered? I don’t.

Or they took all the uranium out of there ahead of the attack and now have any important stuff moved somewhere else and all we did was damage facilities - which is good, I guess?

We don’t even know the extent of the damage that was done…and we dropped what % of our supply of “bunker buster” bombs?

In another thread I saw where maybe we had 20? And used 14?

I don't trust anyone not to use their Nukes if cornered. Think about it, what else are they for? I do trust the SHIA regime in Iran to use nukes whenever they feel like it for some religious belief.

Excuse me?

You go sign up to fight yet? Hop hop.

I was going to ask you the same, your close ally Iran is depending on you.

I don’t want the US involved in ANY of these foreign wars. Zero.

Except the forever war in Ukraine - but that's needed so that democrats can embezzle taxpayer funds.

I’ve seen enough war for my lifetime in the Middle East. Had enough friends and family deployed there.

The only thing I’m worried about is keeping my son from seeing this bullshit on tv.

Donald Trump kept your son safe from seeing a nuclear blast outside his window.
