Trump ignores science at dangerous indoor rally in Nevada

The Constitution is what Donald Trump says the Constitution is. Don't think your ability to read trumps (pun intended) my ability to stomp around like a dummy and make **** up.

LOL!

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

I don't see what's unclear in my post. Perhaps you should read it again for comprehension.

Why don't you start a thread about the great possibility of the spread of the virus from protests, then? That would make you look less hypocritical.

Why is it harder for you to expect the POTUS to act more responsibly than protesters upset over something?

Why is it hard for you to accept there is a difference between being outdoors and moving around, than penned in a building or small area for two hours to hear a lot of BS?

Wait, I have a theory....

Could it be...?

I've discouraged gathering in crowds during a pandemic consistently. Nice try at a deflection, though.

Try it...If you're invested in preventing the spread of the virus (science isn't invested in preventing the spread of the virus since they're invested in levelling the curve, BTW), start a thread admonishing everyone that is spreading the virus to stop. Do more than science and most politicians.

“If you can join tens of thousands of people protesting in the streets, gamble in a casino, or burn down small businesses in riots, you can gather peacefully under the 1st Amendment to hear from the President of the United States,” campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said.

I would have worn a mask but Murtaugh makes an excellent point.

Trump rallies are just another thing the antiTrumps will politicize to go after Trump.

It's fair to criticize the President of the United States for having rallies that contradict his own CDC's guidelines and are dangerous to everyone who attends, and to those who might get infected by rally attendees.

And the excuse by his spokesman must be geared to idiots. What he's suggesting is if it's OK for lawless rioters, it is, therefore, OK behavior for the President of the United States. If that's the bar he wants to set for POTUS, fine. It's in a putrid, crap filled ditch, and it's why so many of us want him gone. Most of us don't look to those breaking the law for standards of acceptable behavior, but apparently that's what Trump does, and it's unacceptable for POTUS.

You are in the minority. Threads are started that are concerned with Trump gatherings like these. How many threads are started concerned with the possibility of spread over protest gatherings? I haven't seen one. Especially not one thread started by you.

I see, so if a bunch of people shoot up heroin, that means it's OK for the President to do, since other people are doing it? If lots of people beat their wives, and they do, then it's fine for POTUS!

Seems like a pretty dumb standard of behavior to me, but then again I've never understood Trump supporters at any level.

Dems attribute or blame much of their 'mis-actions', IMO, on Trump actions, for example. Why can't Trump attribute his actions or 'mis-actions' on dem actions? Like the seemingly dem consensus to spread the virus because the protests are so important? Mebe Trump thinks getting his vote out is important enough to spread the virus?

Yeah. You'll comment about this Trump gathering spreading the virus but won't comment about any of the numerous protest gatherings spreading the virus.

Yeah, how stupid is that? People expecting more from the President of the United States than protesters in the streets, some of them lawless!!

What idiots we are as Americans!! We stupidly expect the President of the United States to be a leader, and not let rabble rousers in the streets determine what's acceptable to him and his followers!!

Some seem to think if Trump violates The Constitution (believe me, the courts are asked at the highest appellate level if Trump has violated The Constitution) it's OK for them to violate The Constitution or for them to lie because Trump lies according to the Politico.

Trump can do what he wants. Only idiots and mouth breathing morons accept the excuse that if lawless protesters are doing it, it is, therefore, OK behavior for the President of the United States.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure the VAST majority of "dems" haven't taken part in a single protest. I haven't.

And I'm sure Trump does believe killing a few, maybe hundreds or thousands, of supporters and their families and fellow citizens to win the election is just fine. He's a narcissist and only cares about himself. What I don't get is why people like you defend him.

So the answer is yes - if millions shoot up heroin or abuse oxy, or beat their wives, it's not fair to criticize POTUS if he does it!! Glad to know where you stand. :peace

People are just asking for consistency in justice. If you don't want to spread the virus, for example, all spreading of the virus is bad not just Trump's or the dems' spreading of the virus.

I don't need to start a thread. I've given this advice in many others.

It's more important to you to respond to this thread about Trump supporters spreading the virus than starting a thread about prosests spreading the virus? You know, many pro-protestors think there is scientific evidence that protests don't spread the virus. Mebe you could, at least, dissuade folks of this non-scientific fact?

Don't gather in crowds during a pandemic. It's simple and broad advice that I've posted in many threads. If that's confusing to you, then enjoy being confused, and have a great day.

Come on, perform a community service. Inform EVERYONE that gathering in crowds spreads the virus.

Right, you've been clear. If lots of people beat their wives, it's OK for Trump, POTUS, to do it. It's a helluva standard you guys have! MAGA!!

Not content with almost 40,000 new US COVID cases and ~1,000 COVID dead a day and a world-leading 198,000+ COVID dead, Trump holds these COVID "super-spreader" political rally's.

Obviously, Trump doesn't care how many more Americans die of COVID. All that matters is his reelection.

The R naught of that event is basically "everybody."

We normally expect the POTUS to be a leader, and to set an example that saves lives and slows the spread of a deadly disease in a pandemic that's killed 200,000 Americans, so far. We get that it's a standard that Trump cannot meet, so of course his defenders have to move the goal posts. SAD!

MAGA!

Do you disagree that all gathering in crowds always spreads the virus?

I don't see that I made an exception in my blanket statement. This is because I didn't.

I think the protestors in the streets should be held to, at least, the same standard as everyone else. Am I different than you in that regard?

But protesting in large numbers, even in violation of small group mandates is AOK?
