It's baffling to me how a person can support Trump. I rib my friends who support him, they rib "libs" but no one I know is getting into a fist-fight over a politcians... least of all over a con-artist like Donald Trump.

Don't you think it's fascinating that people who distrust politicians & the government go around waving Trump flags?

Trump is famous for launching trial balloons. It serves at least two purposes:

1) To test public reaction to the idea, especially among his supporters.
2) To get the public warmed up and used to the idea, and exhausted of outrage, should he implement it.

It should be noted that Trump actually never jokes and is pretty much incapable of humor.

On what planet are you living to believe that Trump would ever gracefully exit the White House of his own accord? I am not outraged because I've known since the previous election that this was always the case.

I find this thread by Asha Rangappa to help in terms of restoring strength.

It is important to take note and be prepared for the unprecedented actions Trump says he intends to take after the election. But it is also important not to allow his *wishful* reality to *become the reality. To do that, consider Trump's psychological POV right now:

Every time Trump spouts this kind of garbage, he is revealing that he is TERRIFIED. Ab. So. Lute. Ly. Terrified. His **existential** fear is losing. And he knows that there is a very good chance he is going to lose. And he can't do a damn thing about it. He will be a LOSER.

Remember that in pretty much every instance Trump has faced like this in the past, he's had an exit strategy. He walks away. But he can't get out of the election. He's like a mail-order bride who has to go through with it. Except in his case, if he loses, he may end up in jail.

The analysis of Trump's fear of being a loser is certainly correct and having to make the conceding speech to the winner would be intolerable. But, there is an exit strategy, a way for him to walk away as a winner with dignity, glory and perhaps even a lessening of the threat of jail: resign with great fanfare saying he has accomplished all he came to accomplish and is now is leaving in order to prevent the dissension, turmoil and court battles of a fraudulent election that might destroy the country. He gets to leave as a self sacrificing patriotic hero with bands playing, flags flying, a great ceremony and a fabulous show of how much he cares about the country.
