Trump’s Running Tab in the Abrego Garcia Case

Ah, another case of terminal TDS. And that's being generous!

Dr. John Gartner, a specialist in the field, has pointed out that Trump, at 79 years old, seems to be slowing down, with suggestions that his motor skills may be deteriorating. This observation by Gartner follows sightings of Trump allegedly concealing a catheter under his right pant leg, which Gartner interprets as a classic indicator that the president could be battling a specific type of dementia known as frontotemporal dementia.

So far as I know, there's no dispute that he immigrated illegally. There's no dispute that he was protected from deportation to El Salvador, due to threats from Barrio 18. The question is -- why did the administration try to have him locked up for the rest of his life? Now that the Supreme Court has allowed third-country deportations, there's no reason why he couldn't be shipped across a border to a country willing to take him, and provided the displacement gives him a way to settle down and live his life, it might not be a terrible thing in the end. But we're hit with this paralyzing suspicion that Trump wants him locked up again in some other pit for no obvious reason. That is the deep mystery and the bone of contention.

Dr. John Gartner is a psychologist, not a neurologist. According to Wikipedia, "Gartner has described himself as a member of "The Resistance" against Donald Trump..."
I think we can safely disregard his neurological observations.

Yes, you can dismiss every expert as "Part of the resistance", as any with an IQ above room temperture knows what a ****up making Trump president was.

It doesn't take away from the fact that the limping, the catheters, the adult diapers, the slurring of words, the meandering speech patterns, the screeching of obsencities...

If we saw this in any of our elderly relatives, we'd put them in a home.

Instead, Trump is surrounded by enablers who see him as their ticket to do really awful stuff.

He dismisses himself as part of the resistance. I quoted his bio, which quotes him.

Your source didn't say anything about limping, adult diapers, slurring of words or "screeching" obscenities. But get this one; "This observation by Gartner follows sightings of Trump allegedly concealing a catheter under his right pant leg," So Gartner who is neither a urologist or a neurologist, believes "sightings" that "allegedly conceal" a catheter, and deduces, therefore, that Trump is experiencing a neurological disorder. Gartner should lose his license.

Nonsense. None of the things you mention are evidence of a neurological problem, even if you had some evidence that they exist in Trump - which you don't.

Guy, we see these signs every day... you pretend you don't see them.

No, I don't pretend anything, and I don't see those signs. In any case, none of them are signs of cognitive problems.
You guys see what you want to see and do a funny thing: If your guy has lost it, the other guy must be worse!

Remember when trump said that the Continental Army captured the airports during the Revolutionary War?

That was years ago, when he was relatively sharp.

That was a silly comment. I'll give you that one, though, if you need it.

There are sooooo many more. Windmills causing cancer, they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats, treating COVID infections with bleach and UV light,...

This is not a smart man. And now he's old as heck, too.

Wrong. He's smart, but could be more devious. And I'm old(er) as heck, so I know a bit about being old. I've give a dollar to be able to put in the time and energy that he does. And that doesn't even count the range and number of off-the-top questions he takes from the Press.

No, he's not smart at all, even though he claims to know more about [insert subject here] than anybody. Smart people can talk off the top of their head without saying so much ridiculous stuff. And when he's not getting facts wrong, he's lying. Soooo many lies. Take any speech at random and there will be a long fact-check on it.

And if we are to believe the people who worked with him on The Apprentice, trump's energy can be explained by his Adderall abuse.

Well, this is going nowhere. Believe whatever you need to.

Cognitive dissonance.

Trump is making your dreams of racism and cruelty come true, so you don't care how ill he is.

The racism and cruelty in this country has been the work of Democrats for the last 400 years. From the beginnings of slavery, through Jim Crow, the KKK and the Democrat Plantation your Party has perpetuated it for financial and then political gain. Almost as bad as the cruelty is the hypocrisy, the promises made in exchange for votes, and none of them kept, while your Party blames others for their failures.

You sound bitter. And perhaps undereducated.
I'm not bitter. I'm just tired of having the political side of this country that was responsible for slavery and so much after slavery ended, dodge their responsibility for it and pretend that it was all done by the right wing. And, rather than throw out an implied insult, perhaps you'd like to make a case that I'm mistaken.

It's more accurate to use conservative/progressive instead of Republican/Democrat, since the parties have moved around over the years.

Dems had the South until the Republican's Southern Strategy was implemented. They played on increasing racial tensions to flip white southerners.

The 'Democrats' of that day are the 'Republicans' of today. Prove me wrong comrade.

One has to be a bit careful about that. Many liberals/progressive/Democrats assume that the Southern Strategy resulted in fairly large numbers of racist Democrats instantly jumping to the Republican Party, but that didn't happen, In fact, only Strom Thurmond made such a leap. Over time, the voters in the South became more Republican and elected Republicans to Congress. That's confirmed by your source.
