Trump’s “Christian” supporters do not follow a central message of Jesus

Actions speak louder than words...just sayin'...you do as you like and I will follow my conscience...

In other words you can't explain to me what the Kingdom is. I understand.

Oh...and you're such a great authority on the matter. gag.

for all have sinned my friend

That is true……for all have not repented….that is also true….

In the church the ones that do not repent are labeled justifiably as hypocrites…..it occurs to me it is much more difficult to label atheists as hypocrites….just a fun fact……:)

Do we? You don't seem to. As I have said, Jesus never commanded us to not be in politics. Never.

The Kingdom of God doesn't mean the Christian in this world cannot be involved in it's politics.

I don't think you know what the 'Kingdom' of God is. Just my opinion.

As I said, in other words, you cannot explain to me what the Kingdom is.

Allow me to help…..Luke 17:20-21….Jesus when asked as to when the kingdom would come: “Jesus replied, ‘The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is WITHIN you.”

That was simple….glad that I was able to help you. Not sure if it was you or others that got so upset when I spoke of God being within you……it seemed inconceivable to some apparently even though they present themselves as Christians extraordinaire……

Of course, believe what you want but Jesus will not be conveniently there every time someone asks that question. If he was speaking of himself He would have just said “The kingdom of God is in me”……who knows how many jots and tittles were ignored for those translations ? Christians are fond of talking about Armageddon…..probably because they won’t live to see it…..I say ‘why wait for tomorrow ?’ I hate the use of ‘among’ or ‘in your midst’ because people start thinking they are surrounded by believers and that there will be a group rate to go through the narrow gate. It is a totally individual journey IMO

I've known that about Christians down here in the South since around 1988.

That they use their Christianity to hate.

And some of those people are in my extended family and my wife's family.

Christians often fail to understand very simple things…..for instance…..eternal life…..many think that begins with death and that would actually be future life……eternity is eternity…..God knew you before you were conceived….there is no time in eternity…..

I think the trap that many like perhaps yourself and watsup is the notion that Christians are somehow perfect representatives of Christ. Needless to say, they are not.

Yes, the Trump cult Christians have one excuse after another after another for their support for the Trump actions listed in the OP.

You are very good at repeating Christian myths.

Nope, the OP is NOT saying Christianity is a myth, the OP is firing a shot across the bow of many of today's Christians and saying they are phonies, liars and hypocrites.
And I will offer that many of today's Christians prefer Leviticus and the teachings of Paul over the teaching of Jesus, while also taking a massive dump all over The Ten Commandments.

Exactly.

You are very good at repeating Christian myths.

This had no application to you….just for Christians…..this is a free country….it is perfectly fine to be an atheist…..I do not evangelize for any religion….if you recruit for atheists that is your business

Which is fine if you present what the Kingdom is. Can you?

And Jesus wasn't talking about governmental entities anyway; the "you" to whom He refers is the individual and that one individual's decision to give alms, clothe the poor, visit the sick, etc.
How nice of you to clarify the word of God for us.

There's a term for that. It is called "taking the Lord's name in vain" and it is very much against the rules.

Opinion ? Why does your opinion always sound so much like judgment ? You need to work on that maybe…….

Perhaps. But I am confident in my understanding of the Kingdom.

Except Jesus is talking to unbelieving Pharisees in those verses. Is Jesus saying the Kingdom of God is 'in them', the unbelieving who will later have him crucified?

To be sure there are many that indeed are "counterfeit", so to speak. Although that does not mean the rest are perfect.

Yes, the Trump cult Christians have one excuse after another after another for their support for the Trump actions listed in the OP.
First of al, thank you for proving my point made above. With you, just remove the "perhaps".

Additionally, the next perfect candidate to run for office, will be the first.

Be well.

I missed the verse that identified them as unbelievers…..
