Trucker rally fizzles out in Washington, D.C.​

March 1 (UPI) -- A rally in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, modeled after the "Freedom Convoy" that occupied Ottawa for more than a week, failed to draw substantial crowds.

The rally drew fewer than a hundred people to the Washington Monument Tuesday, to protest COVID-19 restrictions, the Washingtonian reported.

Truckers also caused havoc at a Canadian border crossing between Michigan and Ontario, disrupting cross-border travel, including commercial goods.

This comes after a contingent of truckers -- also slated to arrive Tuesday -- fizzled over a lack of participation and was eventually canceled, The New York Times reported. It counted five trucks among its ranks when it arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday. The Freedom Convoy USA 2022 originally left California Feb. 23 for the 11-day trip.

Fact is there are 400+ vehicles still taking part in the convoy. Yesterday a few of the lead members met with members of Congress four times. But you're right that MSM hasn't been covering it because if they did people would realize it's not fizzled out at all.

My favorite segment was the interview with the lady trucker when asked what she was protesting she responded that she didn't want them to "digitile" her.

She was quite adamant about it!

I don't blame her!

Oh there are definitely some some whacked conspiracy kooks in the bunch. I saw a guy earlier who's convinced the democratic party is a cover for a giant pedophile ring. Which is interesting if anyone recalls Lin Wood made those same claims against John Roberts and Mike Pence.

The only part of the meetings I saw was Ted Cruz ranting about the MSM and I put up the 2nd meeting with Gaetz and Greene for two seconds because they're both idiots in their own league.

And you're right they're not all focused on one goal, but they're not being a huge burden in DC. They're being supplied gas, food and hospitality by supporters so I guess they can just do their thing until all that stops.

PS - A rough count is that there are around 100 trucks in the picture. 100 out of roughly 2,000,000 doesn't sound like a very high percentage to me.

Well, if each of those "truckers" had been the CEO of a multimillion dollar annual profit generating company, then (collectively) they probably could have bought a dozen or so of Senators and a score or so of Representatives.

400 vehicles ran the beltway Monday. That included everything from cars to semis. I think it's clear if they chose to shut down the area (which they aren't) they could. I guarantee fizzled out probably wouldn't be the description at that point.

I haven't watched any msm on the convoy, so was just going by comments in here that no one cares so the media isn't interested. So at least NBC and NYT have done some coverage.

What I've pointed out in each one of these threads (3-4 at least) is that there were other small convoys that started out and and then either join this larger one or they went home. I've only been checking periodically on this main convoy that left out of Calif and arrived in DC over the weekend. Certainly both the photo I posted and the one you posted don't represent a "fizzled out" situation.

And you'd have to check with those replies up above who stated nobody cares so the msm isn't bothering to cover it. I went with their word, which is obviously wrong. I only use the live streamers.
