Tom Cotton hits a new low, even for R's (not an easy task)

They could choose to talk and be smart.
R's???

oxymoron

: a combination of contradictory or incongruous words (such as cruel kindness)broadly : something (such as a concept) that is made up of contradictory or incongruous elements

This is the era where a lot of us should be celebrating. Many people do not support the Republican party. That is a major feather in the cap.

actually, i find it odd that tom cotton would criticize the judge with an homage for one who defends fascists while dog whistling the white supremicists

"Hmm yes if you think about it, criticizing someone for being an asshole is the same as being an asshole."

LOL
If you’re being an asshole while doing it and it’s riling up your base, yes.

I don't agree with that. What he said was wrong and can't just be ignored.
What he said was dumb, I don’t know if it’s wrong or not, or didn’t the Nazis at Nuremberg deserve competent counsel?

If you care to watch 'the green book'. It's about places blacks could stop in their travels and feel safe back in the sixties I think it was? Interesting movie.
Saw it. Loved it.

The shitheads on the left literally fabricated lies and accused a man of rape in front of his wife and children. Using KNOWN fabricated lies they attacked a man purely in the name of politics. Leftists have **** all to say when it comes to hitting 'new lows'.

Some elected officials have figured out that splenetic rhetoric gets rewarded in votes as well as campaign donations.

The constituents are the greater problem than the reps….
Chicken and egg. It's both.

It's the voters who support wrong, and the politicians who exploit that they do. They feed on each other.

His victim accused him.

Jackson was the chief prosecutor in the Nuremberg trials, not a defense lawyer.

From someone who voted for Trump...

He is criticizing someone for defending criminals
No...he is accurately pointing out that the piece of shit judge defended her HISTORY of giving out lenient sentences to child pornographers by claiming that, well...gosh...after all...its easier today to produce and secure child pornopgraphy than it was when the sentencing guidelines were established. That...well...after all...SOME of them are nonsexually motivated collectors of child pornography...like...maybe its just because they were loners and looking to fit in...you know...with other child predators.......

face it...she is a piece of shit, but since Biden nominated her you dont give a **** about her record of leniency and excuses for child pornographers...in fact...you will go out of YOUR way to defend her leniency and excuses for child pornographers.

You talking about beer guy?

His victim accused him.
Dont pretend you dont own that shit. Leftists in this country tripped over themslves to embrace every lie that was spewed, and most still regurgitate the same lies.

Did Tom Cotton say the following? (On the floor of the senate, no less)

In speaking of a woman that excused her leniency in sentencing of monsters by downplaying the actions of child predators...and you think its that much of a stretch to assume she wouldnt defend the Nazis?

Why? YOU defend HER...why WOULDNT she defend Nazis?

Yes, the Senator should have kept his mouth shut.

In fact, all GOP Senators should have said nothing.

They should either vote YES on the lady's nomination or NO.

Silence is the best policy if they wish to show their disapproval of her nomination and confirmation.

The nation is a-changing, so they should concentrate their energies on those battles that they have a chance of winning.
He is playing Q politics here. She is going to get in, so now he is working on destroying her credibility.

John Adams (our second president) is lauded for defending the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre. A case he won. That's when Americans were capable of looking beyond partisanship. Now we have idiots like Tom Cotton. Heaven help us.
I was also reminded of Adams when reading OP’s post.

Cotton’s reprehensible comments were completely out of line. The fact that Cotton is a lawyer, who should understand that PD’s don’t get to choose their clients and are obligated to vigorously defend them, also says a lot about him.

Finally, the Dems begin to grow a pair:

DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison slams Tom Cotton as a 'little maggot-infested man' after the Republican senator suggested Ketanji Brown Jackson would defend Nazis

IMO, too little, too late. But miracles do happen...don't they?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was a fine example of a lousy chair who did crap in response to the Reps rolling over the Dems.
