In short: The problem is, that the statue of the black king is a kind of caricature of a black person.
If they replaced it with a normal statue of a black person, the problem would be solved.
But they take it as a pretext, to do away with the TREE HOLY KINGS altogether.
They could always put up a statue of Morgan Freeman. Who could possibly object to Morgan Freeman?
Seriously though, I don't recall the Bible calling the wise men kings, or numbering them for that matter.
