Caravans from Honduras have occurred since the late 1990s

Let me get this straight - another caravan, one of many that has occurred since the late 1990's is suddenly NOW a national emergency?
I dare him to...

When thousands of people (and you don't even know who they are) try storming over the US border illegally, yes, that is a national emergency, especially when we don't have the facilities to take care of those who make it.
How is that a gift from Heaven? And how does that give Trump power to declare a National Emergency? Furthermore, since I'm asking questions, how does a group of people who are seeking to apply for asylum qualify as an emergency? And finally, how is declaring a national emergency going to result in an immediate end to this emergency?
Do you have the slightest idea of how long the court cases alone will last, with Texan ranchers on the border refusing to give their land over to the government for some stupid wall that does not even address the heart of the issue of illegal immigration?
A wall has to be one of the dumbest ideas ever proposed as a solution that solves nothing with respect to the real problem of illegal immigration.
So emotional and hyperbolic. They're storming the gates!
They are seeking asylum, just like the last group did. Maybe, just maybe, we should address the heart of the issue, rather than talk about building some stupid wall that would take years, and years, and years to ever even begin construction.
When you are trying to apply for asylum you don't storm the border illegally with thousands of people. You go to the proper points of entry to do it legally.

They were storming the gates because they don't have any intention of coming here legally via the proper points of entry.

Based on your post, you’re more concerned about providing for immigrants who arrive in the United States? How caring of you. When thousands of people (and you don't even know who they are) try storming over the US border illegally, yes, that is a national emergency, especially when we don't have the facilities to take care of those who make it.
You should really know what you’re talking about before posting. Regardless of where immigrants enter the U.S., they may legally apply for asylum. And what’s with the angry tone? From your previous post it seemed that you cared about the immigrants. You gotta get your messaging straight. When you are trying to apply for asylum you don't storm the border illegally with thousands of people. You go to the proper points of entry to do it legally. sighWhen thousands of people (and you don't even know who they are) try storming over the US border illegally, yes, that is a national emergency...
Uh, hello? Trump didn't talk about declaring an emergency in order to fund more immigration courts and detention centers. Again, try to keep up.especially when we don't have the facilities to take care of those who make it.

No one is storming anything. Pull back on the hyperbole there my man.
Do you actually know the law when it comes to requesting asylum? Hint: proper points of entry is nowhere to be found.
Also, why is it do you believe that these "caravans" that are seeking asylum are working their way to a portion of the US that already has a wall up? Hmm....
Yet, as has been pointed out, this has been occurring for close to 30 years now. And all to seek asylum, not to storm the gates. Applying for asylum actually is with the intent of coming here legally, you know. It is quite legal to apply for asylum and have your case reviewed. And no, it is not required to be done at a port of entry.
Perhaps instead of a wall that will never be built, we instead address our need to more effectively and efficiently process asylum claims.
Your article says several hundred. You guys can't help but lie, huh... I'm not even mad about it anymore...it's become so habitual you probably don't even know you're doing it...
Also, rather confused...in your OP you said the caravan was a gift from God. Now you seem upset about it. Make more sense please.
