They called it paradise

Sounds like Fox News has been trying to cover up Trump's disastrous economic policies by ranting about California, especially last night. So we get a bunch of the usual suspects posting their stupid ****ing bumper stickers again.

Ranting on command.

They don't even actually care about California. If they know anything about it, they know it has the fifth largest economy in the world compared to countries. And they are undoubtedly posting from red state shitholes that would collapse without access to blue state money.
Feeding time at the zoo threw some shit out to the trained seals and they all run and spew it back out here.

This horrible news will likely prevent MAGA immigrants from settling in California which makes me very sad.

MAGA.

because they are in the middle of nowhere

Haha!

"Why are there no people in Wyoming?"

"Because there's no people there!"

That's essentially what you said.

Yet at one time California had no people. They were the "end of nowhere".

But that changed . . .

Worthy of Yogi Berra.

California used to be one of best states.
What has happened to California?
California has one of the worst income gaps.
The middle class is leaving California.
California might lose more congressional seats after the 2030 census.

You're claim to California having the nation's lowest literacy rate is inaccurate. Your linked data disputes your claim.

MAGA.

Why would you want MAGA diluted?

Better to keep it pure, golden, and unadulterated!

I wish I saved a link, but I'm not quite that crazy (though I'm definitely not entirely sane). I caught one poster parroting a Hannity segment from the night before. I'd selected some of the text i was sure they did not write themselves, popped it into a google search with quotations around it, and sure enough I landed on a transcript of Hannity the night before.

Hell..you see a bunch of them saying the same thing in the same phrases at the same time, and even looking at Fox's written crap will show you that they're just repeating last night's bumper sticker's.

It'd be hilarious in a comedy. It's terrifying in reality. This is why they vote the way they vote.

And to dial it to 11, they are of course conditioned to believe that everything but Fox News is the brainwashing.

As you stomp your feet and shake your fists, are you making sure to tell these states that you are taking your toys with you?
No. I'm just not going. However, it's ok when they know why they're not getting my money.

We’ll just move to California Lite……Canada
Yeah, Canada is a tad less California in a month with an 'r' in it.

And they are in ennormous debt. California is facing a significant budget deficit and has a large amount of outstanding debt. California has seen a decline in revenues and an increase in spending, resulting in a current budget shortfall of $68 billion. Additionally, the state carries a substantial amount of debt, both in terms of general obligation bonds and unfunded pension liabilities.
Excellent governance.

Beat me to it!
My favourite Berra-ism...
"I didn't really say all those things I said!"

Haha! I loved that guy!

To the older Italians Joey D was the guy. But we all - especially the younger guys - loved Yogi just as much, but in a different way.

Joey D? As in, "Where have you gone...?"
Now that you triggered those memories...
"If people don't wanna come out to the ballpark, how you gonna stop 'em?"

Maybe the most sincere thing he ever said was when he started coaching the Mets...
"Does anybody here know how to play this game?"

No. I'm just not going. However, it's ok when they know why they're not getting my money.
I can't even imagine ever being that petty and intolerant.

What's wrong with California is essentially end-stage capitalism.

The tech industry concentrating economic power in the hands of the few, making shit unaffordable for everyone else.

I love California. Granted some @Buster Keaton types can't cut it here, but that's fine. Not everybody can. I suppose his sort might as well go someplace where the bar is lower like Oklahoma or Mississippi.

California is fine. Like every place, we have some good, some bad and some ugly, but on the balance it's a pretty decent place to be. I just figure @Buster Keaton can't cut it here so he's attempting to feel better about himself by putting the state down. In reality, I imagine not one resident of California knows who he is nor cares about his silly opinions.

Planning to spend a few hours on the beach tomorrow afternoon, maybe Pacifica or Half Moon Bay.
