They sure picked a good one this time.

It turns out that U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson has frequently voted against measures intended to help veterans and their families, according to VoteSmart.org, a vote-tracking site whose founding board members included former presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.

The measures that Wilson opposed included a bill that could have ensured that families of four soldiers slain in Afghanistan in 2013 received death and burial benefits.

Let the smearing begin!

Her hats look stupid.

Why was she in that woman's car listening to a private phone call again?

My understanding is she was accompanying the widow to a memorial.

Who is she a hero to exactly? Since you can tell me who my heroes are, can I tell you who your heroes are? Do you think any one did not notice that the only way you can defend Trump is to try and attack those who criticize him?

You're going to defend a congresswoman who voted against burial benefits for American veterans?

You know what is interesting, but the article only actually names one bill, the others are not named. That really comes across as if they are hiding something. The one that did get named, well, alot of people voted against that one. Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013, here is the list of those in the senate who voted against it: https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00044, and here is the house vote: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2013/roll062.xml. Look at all those republican "nays", especially in the senate. Damn her for voting like a republican senator!

Ahh the Trumpets smear and deflection campaign. One has to wonder if they are receiving orders directly from Trump HQ or via Trump News.. err I mean Fox News?

First, Looks like when she voted against these bills she did so because they contained other poison pills introduced by Republican in attempt to get away with some other bull****. One example is a bill that would have given veterans benefits even if the government shut down. An attempt by Republicans to avoid the fallout of shutting the government down so they didn't have to work for a broader compromise with Democrats. So there's really nothing to see here.

Second, and most importantly Wilson isn't really the issue. You are attempting to distract from the disgusting remarks and actions of Trump by assassinating the character of the person who pointed them out. This doesn't change the disgusting nature of Trump. There are all kinds of valid reason for voting against various bill while still believing aspects of them are good.

Voting against a bill that might offer marginal support for the Troops while devastating millions of other Americans doesn't mean you hate Troops, it means you're a responsible leader who recognizes a con job when you see one. Attempts to get away with ****ing over half the country by including one pervision in a ****ty bill that might benefit veterans is why Republcians are deplorable pieces of **** who can never be allowed in office.

The Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013, that Wilson opposed and didn't vote on, passed with bipartisan support. Don't start lying this early in the thread.

Wilson is absolutely the topic of this thread. Stop trying to deflect. "But...but...but...TRUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMP!!"

I posted the final house and senate vote. You should maybe check sources before making stupid claims. 17 republican senators voted for it, 25 against. Also, it should be noted that there is a whole lot going on in the bill which might cause some one to vote against it that has jack and **** to do with veterans. One of the interesting things is that only 14 republican reps voted against it vs 214 for, while more democrats opposed it in the house than supported, so support flip flopped by party between the house and senate. Do you know why?

And do you have the names for any of the other bills she opposed? A reason why she opposed them? Kinda important details.

Wilson is the topic of your pointless thread, but the thread is an attempt to distract from the actually important topic of the week which is that Trump has once again demonstrated himself to be a disgusting piece of dog vomit, and you can't cover up that reality by slandering the woman who called him out on it.

Why not? You began this thread with a lie. You have nothing to complain about.

Fox News knows their audience. Nuance and facts aren't why they tune in.

This thread is intended to point out what an un-American, anti-veteran asshole the anti-Trumpers have chosen to follow, this time.

Huh. What an odd thing it is to be compelled to lie about who is a hero to whom.

Well when you're left defending someone who said he only likes soldiers who weren't captured, then all you really have is deflection and hysterics.

It is failing to do that, and you are avoiding anything that does not fit your narrative.

Her hats look stupid.

Why was she in that woman's car listening to a private phone call again?

Because she personally knew the deceased and his family. Maybe you should stick to critiquing hats.
