The excuses are flying…

The banker is correct in that net worth of wealthy people can fluctuate dramatically. Hell, look at Elon.

But the argument is not over net worth but fraud. Trump very clearly lied about the values and even sizes of properties he held.

Yep, which is also left up to the lenders to verify.

Nobody said the bank(s) didn’t do their due diligence. Are you now taking back your original claim the bank said there was no fraud?

In case you weren't aware, no American bank would lend to Trump because they knew he was a fraudster. That is why he went to Deutsche.

With the criminal trials finally starting, MAGA may need to start thinking about life beyond Trump.

To them, there is no life beyond Trump.

Ask Vivek. He tried to be Trump lite, and couldn’t even get out of the starting gate.

Wow. You're really stretching. If the banks were paid or not, is irrelevant. Trump was penalized for lying about the financials he used to get the loans he received from the banks. How does "he paid back the banks" change anything?

So the way it sounds to me, I can go down the street and steal my neighbor’s new Lexus and take it for a joyride.

As long as I bring it back, no one was harmed and I can’t be held accountable.

It was revealed last night by Susan Craig (NYT) that the IRS is currently involved in an intense comprehensive audit of the Trump Org. It stands to reason if you inflate your assets to gain loans, and you deflate your assets to save on taxes, someone along the way is being lied to or cheated.

The IRS is being very tight lipped about this as they should be. The calculations are that this could end up costing Trump another estimated $100M in fines and penalties. No mention of criminal charges at this time.

Holy shit. 😳

And the reason Deutsche Bank was so free with their money is because they're working with Putin's $250 billion that he stole from the Russian people. The bank doesn't give a shit, it's not their money.

Your TDS knows no bounds.
????? it is not the Dems who are bowing to an obviously corrupt, flawed person. Why can't you break away from Trump??? You KNOW he is trash. So Why????

You have TDS.

The Dems just love their country and what this bozo out of here. Imagine that. THAT is not TDS.

is there actually a je ne sais quoi because of his brand?

we may soon be seeing the actual value of real properties available from the tRump portfolio

liquidated to pay his imposed fine

What “tax cheating”? That would have resulted in criminal charges.
Civil fraud case, as anyone who was paying attention knew. Trump has been legally ruled a fraud in a civil trial, has to pay a hefty fine and he doesn't face jailtime, but the last thing it is is a good thing. You seem to be looking for a way out for a fraud, and let's remember, he has already been ruled a fraud and ordered to pay back the money he took in the Trump U case, and the Trump Foundation case. See a pattern in any of this?

The only pattern a MAGA sees is a Trump/Fox induced witch hunt. Their blinders won't allow them to see anything else.

he's a crook:
...
Then-state Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed a lawsuit against the Trump and his foundation in June 2018. The state accused the organization of “a pattern of persistent illegal conduct, occurring over more than a decade, that includes extensive unlawful political coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing transactions to benefit Mr. Trump’s personal and business interests, and violations of basic legal obligations for non-profit foundations.”

One specific example cited was a “nationally televised fundraiser Mr. Trump held in lieu of participating in the presidential primary debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 28, 2016.” That Iowa fundraiser was billed as a special event for veterans; its website, donaldtrumpforvets.com, featured the name of the Trump Foundation and noted that it was a nonprofit.

According to the final settlement, the fundraiser raised about $5.6 million — “of which $2.823 million was contributed to the Foundation; the balance was contributed by donors directly to various veterans’ groups.” But the attorney general argued the fundraiser was actually carried out by Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and unlawfully leveraged for political purposes. ...
tRump used a fund-raiser for the veterans to fund-raise for his campaign treasury
what a patriot

No personal responsibility
No law and order

GOP have thoroughly debased themselves at the feet of Trump.

I’ve heard Trump be described as a victim, a victim! Ha!

He was brought to Justice for committing fraud and he’s the victim?? The poor billionaire, what did he do to deserve such a poor lot in life?

“Who did he harm?” Seems to be a popular one.

“All real estate agents do this.” Is another.

I encourage everyone making excuses for Trump to get in touch with him about his appeal. If only his dollar tree lawyers had thought to make the argument that “ALL real estate agents do this…”
It's the stupidity of his claims that should be alarming as I stated in another thread. Claiming Mar a Lago is a residence and worth over $400 million more than any other residence in the world has sold for is brash and stupid just like almost tripling the size of your penthouse when you previously reported it at the actual size.

Stupid and he's making all those that still support him look more stupid by association because they won't see the facts.

Trump can not be defeated. He has the power of the force. He has us.

Stupes and dupes are always required by authoritarians for securing power. 30 percent of the country isn't going to cut it though.

they are just repeating what they heard on Fox. So long as there’s a media co. supplying RW deflections they will flock to them.
