[New York] The Dumbest Place on Earth…[W:150]

I've expressed, several times, my belief that there are two great centers of stupidity in the United States. Lately, it seems that Than Fwanthithco has not often been making the news for its stupidity, but New York—especially New York City, but the whole state as well to a lesser degree—is making a great deal of news for its stupidity.

I hereby create this thread, dedicated to news stories and discussion pertaining to New York's established status as “The Dumbest Place on Earth”, now that it seem to have decisively beaten out Than Fwanthithco for this title.

a place can't be dumb, but it can be where they live....
I like the sweet lemon analogy.....NYC may have Broadway, be the center of the arts, have the best pizza in the world, etc. but it is still NYC.

Anti-gun
Anti-eating what you want
Anti-legal substances but pro-illegal substances.
Anti-privacy

And makes a LOT of dumb assertions and opinions.

Bloomberg is a straight up dipsh*t pure and simple.

Do you or Jamesrage understand the concept of CONTEXT?

I agree, police should go on strike if citizens don't stand up and demand that gun regs protect public safety.

He gave a very specific context and reasoning for police taking action that would get the public's attention. The police can't protect us, if we don't let them.

Bloomberg is the greatest Mayor in America.

And he's not alone on this stance.
 
Well, I'll be there tomorrow for a few meetings and enjoy everything about the great city.

Where else can such a great city have a straight up dip**** Billionaire Mayor?


P.S. To all the guys out there, if you have never been to Manhattan in the summer, it's a must. The women are insane and half naked everywhere you go. It's a beautiful thing!!!

I live 28 miles from the city and am there at least once a week...did you catch a concert there?

The best thing is there is always something to do there...the city truly never sleeps...

NYC is one of the most free thinking and open-mided cities in the world. It sounds like you've never actually been there. People get to speak their mind. And sometimes they say and do stupid things. Proposed policy vs real policy, big difference.

I have a BIG problem with openly violating this nation's Constitution. The "criminal" of which you speak was busted for engaging in activity that is explicitly-affirmed in the Bill of Rights as one of our most essential Constitutional rights.

I got the context just fine. He was wanting the police to go on strike until the citizens demand that the legislatures institute more gun laws...stricter gun laws. Yet he himself used an example of something that was ALREADY against the law (armor piercing bullets). Which just goes to show that he wants more gun laws to restrict citizens that are NOT breaking the law. I mean come on, do you seriously think that we need more laws to ban something that is already banned?

Hows that for context?
 
I wonder how many other places there are in the world, beside New York, where the police are more dangerous to the public than the criminals.
