a. They want everyone to have medical care at a reasonable cost.
b. They honestly feel that climate change can be catastrophic.
c. They feel sorry for all the poor people in this world, so they welcome immigrants, legal or not.
d. They feel that transgender people are mistreated. So they see nothing wrong about their competing on cisgender teams.
e. They are extremely generous toward violent criminals because they really do think that those hoodlums act that way because of the legacy of slavery and segregation.
f. They are really convinced that once all the old people die off, this nation will be better than ever under their leadership. For example, they are looking forward to regaining the House so that the current minority leader (who took Ms. Nancy's place) can lead the House. And Dems are grooming the new governor of Maryland as a future president.

Many Dems are really sincere. They feel that this will continue to be the greatest nation in the world when the majority of Americans are African American and Hispanic Americans, along with a small contingent of European Americans and even fewer Asian Americans.

Maybe they are right.

American heritage is built on freedom and justice, I'd say. Independence and self-reliance are buzzwords. How much self-reliance has a billionaire's child shown when he gets his first job? How much independence? We do not want a welfare state, we want to even the playing field. We want to change the tax structure so the very wealthy actually pay their fair share. And, yes, I would look to the tax structure of the 1950s as a starting point.
