Hello everyone,

I was advised by posters on another forum to join this one because of its good reputation.

I am of Lebanese origine and have been living in France for the past 20 years. I have also spent several years studying in California where my family lives. England is my second home because my other half is English and lives there.

Having worked in the press for the past 25 years, I have had politics for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My opinions have been forged based on the media ,books and live debates but mostly from covering stories as a press photographer in the past and by discussing with colleagues who still work on the ground on regular basis and hearing their stories as witnesses.

I am interested in interacting with people of different political perspectives and hope to be able to do so in a calm and civilised manner.

I think I've told you too much about myself and will certainly regret having done that.

kind regards,

Mira

Welcome to our Forum. We're glad to have you here!!!:2wave:

Welcome Mira.

Courtesy should always be met with courtesy, no matter the topic.

Obviously you are going to bring us some real-world experience, and I for one look forward to that with great anticipation.

Mira, great to see you here :2wave:

Great to see you here, Goldwaters! :2wave: I did recognise you, even with the addition of the "s".

Thank you all for the warm welcome and good to see some familiar faces.

Look forward to knowing you all better.

I must warn you though, English is not my mother tongue, so please don't make fun of me if I make too many mistakes :3oops:

I have asked to get my membership deleted. I don't want to be tempted to post anymore.

If my wish is granted, I'd like to take the opportunity before I go to thank Mika-El, Donsutherland, Tashah, Apocalypse and Captain Courtesy to have been such decent people and to have engaged in civilised and mannerly discussions with me, even though our political ideas are almost opposite.

Through our discussions we have been able to find common grounds and to prove that everything is not simply black and white but with shades of grey through which we can see politics from a simmilar perspective.
