I had a puppy mill dog, she lived to be 17 years old and was a very mild tempered dog, Jack Russel terrier mix. Puppy mills aren’t breeding pit bulls, you can’t give away pits which is why they fill shelters and rescues

There's always more to the story. The kid was at the home of his mom's boyfriend who is facing trial for voyeurism and possession of child porn. He was not supposed to be in contact with anyone under 18yrs of age. In the article the mom says she never saw aggression in the dog and she also claims she didn't know about her boyfriend's issues. That begs the question about whether the boyfriend caused the attack to keep the kid quiet about possible sexual abuse.
