As a fair and balanced independent, I found this obervation to be very acurate:

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't` eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. If a liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a person of color is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. If a Liberal doesn't like a talk show host, he demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of US taxpayers pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed. If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.

A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

if a SOCIAL conservative doesn't like gays getting married he will demand there be an amendment to the state constitution banning gay marriage. If a liberal doesn't like gay marriage he won't marry another man

Liberalism, socialism - same way of thinking...a couple of years ago, I found this about socialism:

Chain e-mails explained:


Chain e-mails usually come from a source that sees the world through tard-tinted lenses. They get sent to others who see the world through tard-tinted lenses, who then decide to forgo all thought and reason in order to share these tard-tinted things with their friends.

Often times, they send these things to everyone on their e-mail list. This often causes people who don't see the world through tard-tinted lenses, but have had the misfortune of ending up on this person's e-mail list to see the person's name in their in-box and say "Oh ****, what the **** is this tard sending me this time?".

Their desire to look is either based on self-loathing or morbid curiosity, but they are fascinated by these e-mails. They always click on them to see what nonsense is being spewed this time. They spend hours contemplating the mental state of the sender, trying to figure out the enigma that is their worldview.

They eventually become distracted by something and forget about the e-mail until about four days later, when they hear someone say something incredibly stupid, and then it comes flooding back into their awareness. They'll turn to a companion and ask about the mentality necessary to believe such nonsense and their companion may say something along the lines of "What are you talking about? That's totally true" at which point the person will look at their companion in a new light. They'll wonder why they are hanging around this person. They may even seek to end the relationship.

Often they might plunge into a deep depression. They may even contemplate suicide. A month later, their life in tatters, they'll finally place the person who sent them the chain e-mail on their spam filter list. It will prove too late, as they will be hit by a city bus shortly afterward while walking home form work, distracted about the ruin of their life.


So save the life of one of your friends and/or acquaintances. Don't spread chain e-mails.

When the average Joe needs health care, the liberal believes that he should receive it, since Joe is a human and as such has intrinsic value -- a very pro-life attitude.

When the average Joe needs health care, the conservative believes he should receive it only if he can afford it, meaning only if he is:

• Productive enough to make enough honest money to pay for it
• Shrewd enough to hire enough lobbyists to squeeze enough money out of the government in the form of contracts and corporate welfare to pay for it
• Soulless enough to run for national office
• Lucky enough to inherit a big enough trust fund to pay for it, or
• Somehow charismatic enough to hypnotize enough idiots to listen to his prattle

If a social conservatives doesn't like abortions, he will want to make sure that no women in the US is able to have a legal abortion. If a liberal doesn't like abortion they respect the fact that others have the freedom to make their own choices.
