Why didn't he? Because enough Republicans realized it is a stupid idea and just a waste of taxpayer dollars, and the great negotiator could not convince them or the American public otherwise. So the American public responded with a blue wave, trump lost and will never get his oh so very special wall.

So now trump is throwing a hissy fit and punishing the country by abusing his authority and taking he government hostage.

He should be aware we do not negotiate with terrorists or traitors!!!

Very true, here in Wisconsin even .most farm kids will not do the work that migrant workers do on the dairy farms.

And that will continue until either the public is okay with ten dollar a gallon milk, or enough government subsidies to pay workers enough to get spoiled Americans to work that hard...

There's that and the fact bi-partisan bills have been floated up. I think the GOP is going to let Trump be their shield and take the lumps in this fight.

Just to point out.. e verify is a ruse almost as ridiculous as the wall. Its the same idea that's floated. All we need to do is double check social security. Done. Trump could enforce the laws on employers right now... but.. no.

Not going to do the work for you but the evidence is there as to the human and economic costs but you are too biased and partisan to waste a lot of time, Hundreds of billions of dollar cost to the Federal, State, and local taxpayers along with actual lives lost. Wonder if your attitude would change if one of those lives was a family member or better let your state and local governments along with the federal govt established a tax to pay for those costs
