Your source. One new policy will end a government practice that lets military weapons, sold or donated by the U.S. to allies, be reimported into the U.S. by private entities, where some may end up on the streets. The White House said the U.S. has approved 250,000 of those guns to be reimported since 2005; under the new policy, only museums and a few other entities like the government will be eligible to reimport military-grade firearms.
The Obama administration is also proposing a federal rule to stop those who would be ineligible to pass a background check from skirting the law by registering a gun to a corporation or trust. The new rule would require people associated with those entities, like beneficiaries and trustees, to undergo the same type of fingerprint-based background checks as individuals if they want to register guns
Wrong. There are Garands that are in South Korea that were supposed to be returned to the US and sold to the public through the CMP and Obama decided to step in the way of that.
I think it speaks to the ridiculousness of the gun culture that the following two orders are "going after your guns"...guns you don't even have, and I believe are not even allowed normally to buy.
Your source.
Such ridiculous fanaticism to an inanimate object.
Little bit by little bit.I read the article. Did I miss something? I don't see the government taking anyone's guns. Is it possible the title of this thread is misleading?
And I can garrantee that will be the last straw.Name one government that is happy about its citizens being armed. Our day is coming through manatory registration.
Nothing in the 2nd amendment takes away the government ability to regulate trade, especially international trade.
Sorry :/
Little bit by little bit.
They know they dont have the muscle to just come take them yet, so lets stand in the way of the product stream.
Just another socialist tactic by a worthless president.
Then leave.I have never been in the gun debate thread before. Is the above type of argument typical? Wow I thought truthers were paranoid about the government.
The US still owns those guns.

Its all true, havent made anything up and posted a link to the story.
Paranoid? How so.What's all true? you haven't made anything up? Who named this thread? I read the story - the only connection to that article and the thread title is in your paranoid mind. Who else is after you and what do they want to take?
Since the 50s, the agreement was that the rifles would be repatriated to the US.Do you even read your own sources? What am I saying, of course you don't.
Firstly, when we sell or donate a weapon, we no longer own it.
Secondly, nothing in the 2nd amendment says the government has to sell you a weapon it owns nor does it not allow the government to regulate trade with other nations.

Sorry :/
Not as such. But if the two were to conflict, the 2A wins.

Yes, sadly it is typical.
Typical how? Because some of us dont just roll over and take it? You are fine with the prez just waking up one day and using executive order to play king?
The noose is tightening on gun owners in this country, and this is directly related to that. They know if they move slow enough, they will get all the laws on guns they want.
Becuase people like you say, oh its just this, or its JUST that. Until confiscation is a reality.
It's typical because every tiny restriction gets turned into "Until confiscation is a reality."
Bull****, go read the second and tell me there is any lattitude with a straight face. Then read the enumerated powers and the tenth amendment. Yeah, they don't have legitimate authority.Nothing in the 2nd amendment takes away the government ability to regulate trade, especially international trade.
Sorry :/
That is the one thing Obama actually has legal recourse over, because it's U.S. military property the federal can set the rules for those particular weapons. However most of the EOs that Obama signed should lead to impeachment, and Congress if they had any sense of honor would start to reassess the legality of many statutes from the last century on, but specifically those regarding the infringements on the 2A.The US still owns those guns.
