Give me a freaking break. You have never heard liberals question where the president was born, say no to everything even if they agree with it or bring up fake scandals just trying to get lucky. I have never seen so much hate and malice come from a political party as I have heard from the GOP over the last 6 years.

Liberals did the same crap when Bush was president.Liberals claimed the Iraq war was for oil despite the fact that both democrats and republicans claimed Saddam had WMDs even before Bush was president,Saddam had a history of using WMDs more than a dozen times, and Saddam led the world to believe he had WMDs by refusing to allow inspectors to inspect where they wanted to. Liberals claimed Bush master minded 911.Liberals claimed Bush was a dictator.Liberals claimed Bush went AWOL. Liberals nitpicked at him for sometimes being inarticulate or being misspoken about a few things.Liberals criticized Bush for raising the debt ceiling.

The same Nate silver who gave GOPs a 61% chance in 2012.
Sounds like Nate wants to flush the Dems.
And GOPs have 23 Senators up in 2016, many in Blue States, opposite of this year .

We are not the party that shoots abortion doctors. We are not the party that bombs a building in OKC just because far right wingers got killed because they just could not stand a liberal government in the 90's. Yes we have some freaks on our side too and I don't agree with them but your side has morons like Steve King, Louie Gohmert and Michele Bachmann and if you try to tell me those people are smart or in the mainstream you would get laughed out of the room Bob and you know it. Americans are not going to put up with social conservatives telling us how to live our lives any more that communist. The fact is the right has lost the social issues and they have to accept it or cease to be a electable party.

I almost voted for a moderate R for govenor of Washington named Dino Rossi because I did not like the incumbent Gregoire.

for the most part I agree with you. Aside from the bombers and the people that blow up planned patenthood clinics. They may have voted for republicans but that doesn't mean they are all like that. Just like all democrats aren't child molesters because Barney frank is. All of that aside, yes conservatives have lost on several social issues, but so have democrats. Republicans lost on abortion, democrats lost on gun control. Either way, what allows for more liberty should be the winner. Less gun control is more liberty, being able to choose the fate of your unborn child is liberty.

I say both parties are losing as they should. The people should win since this is our country.

I agree! Too many elected reps and entrenched bureaucrats seem to have forgotten who they are--government servants. Ours.

But we, the people, need to become more active in our own communities, where our opinions matter, our efforts can work, and our votes, every single one, count. In my opinion, you stop the rascals before they can get out of town, which means paying attention to often dreary city council and school board issues. And reminding our servants for whom they work.

absolutely. Lately they have been thwarted. The last thing that was ranged down or collective thoughts was the crummy healthcare thing.

Yes, I agree. But it also goes into being mature. Recognizing the rights of others even if you disagree with what they are doing stand up for their right to do it.
