Any one else looking forward to the start of the baseball season? My Tigers are in good shape to come in second or third in the division, but should be good enough to keep us hoping till the end.

I'm usually willing to watch and see how the Braves are going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory this year.

I tune into baseball around the middle of October.

Braves have a young man who could be the most exciting rookie in years.

Woot! I'm more than ready, just hope my Yankees are as well.

I want the Red Sox to win it all, but if they don't then any team can win but the Yankees. I f***ing hate the Yankees. F*** you Jeter, A-Rod, and Damon.

Back atcha buddy. BTW, Damon is a Tiger now. Have fun chasing us all season. :beat

Oh I know he is, but I have to hate him on principal. Going straight to the Yankees f*** him.
Hey, David Wells did the same thing to us man. Get over it.

Haha yeah I know. I am actually going to the game this Sunday and it will be my second Red Sox/Yankee game. I am super excited even though I think baseball is pretty boring by the 5th inning. But that is NEVER the case for Red Sox/Yankee games.

I'm jealous. I love the game period, and nothing beats being there in person. Have fun man. Good luck to your Sox, but only as a wild card.:2wave:

I questioned the Tigers after they disrupted their bullpen rotation and got rid of Granderson. Never was sold on Damon, and it'll take a lot to make me change that stance.

Mets = Nets of MLB. Aren't they from the same state too?

The Nets are from New Jersey and the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals are two teams alot worse than we are.

Ah I see. Well just hearing how ESPN was talking about the Mets it sounded like they were the worst team in the league.

Johnny Damon is now with the Tigers.

Damon does it on the filed and in the locker room. He adds zest to a club and makes them a winner instead of a wanna be. Watch and see what he does for the Tigers.

The Tigers had a couple things going on. They had to keep payroll under control, both now and in the future, and there was no way they could keep all the players. Too many bullpen players where going to be due a raise for Detroit to afford it, and too much inconsistency in some. I would have liked to have kept Lyon, but no way they could afford 15 mil over 3 years for him.

Granderson was the one that first outraged me, but not so much any more. The problem with him was he was a square peg in a round hole. A power hitter where Detroit needed a leadoff hitter. Right now, Detroit thinks they have a more pure leadoff hitter, who can hit left handers and plays more consistent defense. Then adding Damon gives them great flexibility in the outfield and a proven play maker.

So apparently the Phillies are going to have a pretty stacked team. I guess one team from that town has to actually have a chance at winning a major event.
