Re: Should the tax payer have to pay for ins for a child whose parents make $83K a ye

I wasn't really complaining. I was illustrating the inconsistent position of saying why should we pay someone else's health care where that is what is going on with NP.

That is just it.........A Navy Retirement benefit is not a handout like you think........It is something earned, bought and paid for..........Its not welfare or a feebee like you leftys think it is............

What part of that do you not understand?

The part I don't understand is why *I* should have to pay for it. I didn't contract for it or agree to provide it to you.

Same argument as others make for providing Govt health care to others.

Re: Should the tax payer have to pay for ins for a child whose parents make $83K a ye

If he was a habitual liar and acted like a immature baffoon I would.

I didn't serve but worked with NAVAIR for three years and met lots of Navy guys, and 99% truly upheld Navy pride.

It would be nice if I could say the same about you.

For the record, I don't disdain paying for health care and pensions for yets. But all Americans should have access to affordable basic health care. My comments were to illustrate the inconsistent position of folks arguing "why should we pay someone else's health care" where that is what is going on with NP and the exact same arguments could be made about his Govt paid health care.

Coming from someone like you I could care less what you think about me........All I know is on the first of the month there are 2 nice checks deposited in my checking account........Eat your heart out my left wing Kerry military hating friend..........

That's rich. The so called conservative mocking the liberal because of his Govt welfare the liberal has to pay for.

You have to pay for it because contrary to what you think the military does not work for nothing and there are incentives for making the military a career...Your paying for a service provided you.....You don't pay then there is no military, no defense department................

So let's just do what every other Corp. does in when they are in the red, cut benefits and pensions. Just look at it as doing something for your country in a time of need.

I appreciate that financial rewards were an important reason why you decided to enlist. And you are certainly entitled to your opinion that you deserve it and that's why I should pay for it.

IMO all Americans deserve basic health care.

No inconsistency at all. In one situation the benefits are earned, in the other they are not. In one they are due the benefits because they earned them, in the other they are due the benefits because some law has stated that they are "entitled' to the benefits.

That is just a matter of opinion as to who deserves what.

In both case taxpayers are expected to pay for the cost of someone's health care they did not agree to.

There you go again..You just can't hide your hatred for our military. You think the benefits and pay they work very hard for is welfare..........sad......

You live in this country. You pay taxes to support a military. If you don't like that move somewhere else........

Universal health care is a freebie, a handout.....I am all for it if you want to pay for it.......Why don't you find a guy who is making $83K and pay for his health insurance.......Maybe you would be able to sleep better at night.......

I don't believe I should have to pay for the health care of someone making $83K a year when that is more then I make.......

It's Govt payment to you coming out of taxpayers pockets. That's welfare as much as SS is.

The president is the Commander In Chief....In that position he deserves to be paid.....

Good point. We already have nationalized health care for most Americans.

If we can afford to spend $100 billion a year to support Bush's "mistaken" war we can provide basic affordable health care for all Americans.

I know, you don't believe the military should be paid and receive benefits but you want their protection...I guess they should work for free in your mixed up mind............

Ha ha that's just your opinion. I didn't agree to pay his health care either. Every American deserves basic affordable health care.

So now you want to cut off th funding for the war and leave our people in Iraq in harms way, and you say you don't hate the military.........
