Sanders pulls within 8 points of Clinton in Wisconsin

this is what we call begging the question.

republicans support this idea so does Bernie sanders so republicans must agree with Bernie sanders.
agreeing with a person on 1 point doesn't mean they agree with him on all points.

this is nothing more than a logical fallacy.
that doesn't mean they support the rest of his points.

so no your conclusion is as wrong as the argument the story tried to make it out to be.

Where was it that I said republicans support any of Sanders positions besides the one I posted. There's no ****ing fallacy anywhere dude!

Is 70 too old?

A socialist compared to what?

Sanders' net worth is estimated to be $450,000. Not even a half millionaire.

Sanders doesn't get his hair styled and cut. I think his staff cuts it for him. He buys his shirts as Penney's.

One thing is obvious, WSU, you truly don't know what you are talking about. That even makes your opinions not worthy of a close glance.

Drives a ten year old Volvo. This dudes the closest thing in Washington to an honest politician that there is, he's not pretentious, he speaks a very popular populist message and Americans will like him, if they get to hear him.

For those of you who don't know, Wisconsin DEMs are by far the most liberal in the Nation--nothing wrong with all God's children.
Even today, the folks in Madison still remind me of Haight-Ashbury in the 1960s--I've been "escaping to Wisconsin" since the mid 1970s.

Those folks who were demonstrating against Walker and the lies he told to police and fire unions in Madison--they're with Sanders right now.
So are the college kids and the rest of the disaffected DEM base who feel no one speaks for them.
In the end, Sanders will be the GOP's worst nightmare--bringing millions if not tens of millions of voters to the polls who would have just stayed home.

And the one guy who has been an MSM outlet for Sanders has been Ed Schultz on MSNBC--carried his entire opening speech until Rev. Al cut him off.
Big Eddie has been carrying the message of Sanders and the working class for years.
While Ed continues to hammer Hillary and especially Obama on the trade pact, as does Sanders--as well as Warren .

Sanders is an issues man--with positive ideas.
If you missed his opening speech in Burlington with the Lake as a backdrop, it's worth chasing down.
Made me feel like a teenager again in the 1960s.

While the GOP hopes for some division here, they will be sadly mistaken--especially if they heard the speech.
In fact, Santorum borrowed a whole lot of the economic populist message of Sanders when he announced the next day .

So, while Hillary is trying to be like the "common people", Sanders actually is a common man.

Maybe the Democrats are on to something there. If only he were a bit younger and could lose the "socialist" label.

I don't believe 80% of the polls. Polls are pretty much a waste of time at this point.

The dem's will elect Hillary I doubt any other person will make it through unless she does something more stupid than what she already has.
they can't pick someone that is more tolerable.

other than dem's I don't see more americans voting for her. she is shrill and when she talk she sounds like she knows everything and everyone else is an idiot.
she has that same elitist attitude that Obama has.

I would rather hope that someone would give her a run for her money but the democratic wheels are spinning heavily for her to get the nomination.

I want her to win the dem primary.. To me, a monkey can beat her in the general. There's no way she can win the general, she just doesn't have the muster to raise the base and dems will sit home. Just read the comments by otherwise committed dems and liberals on this very board. When talking about Obama they light up, but Hillary is just Meh.. And I agree!

If I were FOX News I'd be the first to publicly announce that they are dropping their coverage of hillarys campaign since they do not wish to take part in her running movie script; where the places are hand picked, the attendees are hand picked, and she answers questions in her speech. I think if they did that, other networks might follow. Until she answers questions she doesn't get the coverage. Instead spend all your time covering Sanders, and O'Mally. She (if one other network followed) will have no choice but to comply. Who the hell does she think she is, is the message I would bat her over the head with all day everyday.

Tim-

it isn't so much the dem base as I don't think she can convience independents and swing voters to vote for her. she is just not a likable person and comes off very abrasive.

Are the 20% you believe from unskewedpolls.com?

Someone being "electable" is the worst argument to make. Hillary pulled that stunt n 2008. Mitt Romney and John McCain used similar arguments. Neither of them are president. So check that argument at the door because it's rarely correct.
This is so true - the so-called 'electable' were so 'electable' they DID NOT get ELECTED!

Yes - of all the negative evidence put forth, her perceived likability & trustworthiness being upside-down (recently) is the most damning.

I do not know if it's possible for a candidate to ascend to the Presidency with either number being below 50%.

Now when she actively campaigns, she may be able to change those numbers - but that remains to be seen.

Electability is a scale, not an absolute. A rock with a patriotic flag lapel pin glued to it will be more electable than Rick Santorum, but that doesn't mean that either will become our next president.

When you look at these past results, there’s just no reason to give much weight to the Democratic straw poll from last weekend. Clinton remains a prohibitive favorite for the Democratic nomination. I guess you could argue that this result shows Sanders has some support among very liberal Democrats. We already knew that, though, from public polls with random samples. The Wisconsin result told us nothing we didn’t already understand about the Democratic race.

Don’t Pay Attention To That Wisconsin Straw Poll

the question then becomes what can she campaign on that she hasn't already blown up?
her record isn't the best one out there.

if the dems' elect sanders then they probably have a better shot than Hillary, but if she doesn't get elected the sexism card will be pulled.
in fact that is the only thing they can run on then is ol you won't vote for women because your sexist.

no I won't vote for Hillary because I disagree with her on about 99% of the things she has to say and what she believes.

Nope. I am the one that knows some people candidates use polls for advertising and spin.

One endearing quality of Sanders is that he isnt a criminal establishment crony capitalist bitch like hillary.

Either way, if you vote Democrat you are a moron. The Republican field is very strong this year, I wish a lot of the idiots werent diluting the pot.

Spoken like a true party shill.

More nonsense. "They light up when they talk about Obama!" Puh-leeze.

Hopefully you're in the minority

This election cycle is more entertaining than a good movie.

The voting for a Democrat statement is accurate. The Democrat field ranges from the elderly head of the Clinton crime family, the failed governor of Maryland who by the way plays guitar and likes to be photographed without his shirt, a commie and a former republican and independent whose burning issue is the metric system. I have never seen so many poor choices.

The republicans have lots of choices, some good, some bad. I'm withholding my comment until the crowd thins out a little. If they nominate Graham or Huckabee though, I'm out.
