[h=1] Russia Attacked U.S. Troops in Syria[/h]
If you've been listening just to the Kremlin and the Pentagon, you probably didn't know that Russia attacked American forces and their allies in Syria last week, suffering heavy casualties.

Yes, all sides admit that there was an incident at a U.S. base in Deir Ezzor. And that elements of the Syrian regime and Shiite militias participated in the assault. The Pentagon and Kremlin both acknowledge that Russian "mercenaries" participated, too. But the line for now is that those contractors had gone rogue, and Moscow didn't know anything about it...

...But make no mistake: There is overwhelming evidence that those Russian contractors were working at the behest of the Kremlin. What's more, the Russians knew U.S. military personnel were in Deir Ezzor, which has been part of successive agreements to separate, or "deconflict," forces fighting in Syria.

This is what happens when the leaders of hostile nations realize they have nothing to fear from president pansy.

Tragic. That would be scary if anyone else were president. In Trump's case, he'll take that up the ass because he loves him some Russia, it won't escalate.

I'm sure it's all Obama and Hillary's fault anyway. Really, Trump has to make amends with Russia just to undo all the damage Hillary and Obama did, he's really just trying to dig the U.S. out of debt with Russia, see?

The US has no business in Dier ez Zoar and/or anywhere else in Syria. No legal right. We are invaders and occupiers. WE are a rogue Nation attempting to destabilize a soveriegn State. What's complicated about that? We are invaders in Syria!

True but the Islamic State was headquartered in Syria. We have a right to pursue an enemy hiding behind a border. But generally, what you're saying is true.

What a load of crap. Assad destabilized himself with his mistreatment of his people and his use of chemical weapons on civilians. The US has every right to fight ISIS in Syria or anywhere else. And no, we are not "invaders" in Syria.

Politics aside for a moment....

Is this thread saying the Russians have developed their own "Foreign Legion"?
We have made extensive use of contractors ourselves, and had a few embarrassments too.
I have first-hand knowledge during Katrina they outright murdered two people.
An old man and a boy.

Mattis and McMaster both say no actual "evidence" that Assad used chemical weapons in Syria. Lots of evidence that NusraFront/al Qeda/ISIS/terrorists have. Syria is a soveriegn Nation and we are the INVADING occupiers. What's complicated about that, except for the fact that you don't want to believe that. Check and see what else you BELIEVE that is wrong. Put the wrong beliefs in a barrel. Better get three barrels.

A three second google search shows you to be lying....as usual

"US National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said on Saturday that, despite denials, public reports showed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was using chemical weapons, and added that it was time for the international community to hold the Syrian government to account.

Earlier this month, US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said the Syrian government had repeatedly used chlorine gas, but stressed that the U.S. did not have evidence of sarin gas use."

Both Mattis and McMasters, contrary to your fantasies, stated that the Assad government has used gas on their own people. Perhaps you should actually look at information rather than just inventing stuff to support your biases.

Except there's no evidence that's the case, because as I stated earlier, neither ISIS or AQ would have bothered using gas on some small Syrian village; they would have set it off in a major European or American city. As usual, you are living in a fantasy world.

Syria lost all right to complain about the international community intervening the second Assad started dropping bombs on his own people.

You'd need about a million barrels to fit all the bull**** you've been spewing.

I guess we invaded Germany too, huh?

You know, some of us would rather meet the bad guy's in THEIR back yard instead of our's.

Just sayin'.

No evidence provided by etiher Mattis or McMaster. Just statements, no evidence because there is none. Read! Don't want to believe. There's no evidence.

It is OK when we do it. The rules are for everyone else.

Wait, Syria wants to invade America?? Holy crap, that's terrifying, I had no idea!

Of course we invaded Germany. That is how we defeated them. You didn't know that?

You know, some of us would rather meet the bad guy's in THEIR back yard instead of our's.

Absolutely. It was a great decision to invade and defeat Germany before they invaded our country.

Boy, they sure sucked you in with that one. Ol' Ahmed and his camel gonna' bring their bazooka and their hooka pipe over on a reed raft and shoot a hole in the Pentagon or Hogan's goat. Pull your head out, you need the oxygen.

Pretty much every country on earth thinks that way.

But we are the big bully with the big stick. I think Trump should take the lefts advice and attack Russia. I say we hit the Kremlin with some missiles. That teach them a lesson.

I understand the points on both sides of the debate. Did you have to be a dick?

Did Germany want to invade America? I don't remember that part. Then why did we fight them in WW2? I mean, if the criteria for military action is only for those who plan to invade us, we have been doing things wrong for a very, very long time.

...and here I thought I was engaging in a level-headed discussion.
That mistake is easily remedied.

Unfortunately, Capt., that happens a lot when you say your lean is Centrist.
Judicious use of certain features the system supplied us with made my experiences here much more enjoyable.
Some people behave and say thing they would never say to you in real life.
Fortunately there is an easy fix to that issue.

Woo boy...I don't know if you're being serious or ironic here, but either way, yes. ;)

(Though in WW2, Germany actually declared war on the states, due to America declaring war on Japan after Pearl Harbor - in those days you guys were a lot more reactionary, which must have been nice for everyone)
