We hear the reason the "GOP" is supposedly so terrible is that they will screw the little guy in favor of big donors. Hey, guess what...

Obama's the one doing it.

EVIL Republicans will start illegal wars without permission...

Obama's the one doing it.

The GOP will ignore the will of the people and force the public to live as they demand...

Obama's the one doing it.

So my question is, where are the "liberals" that spend post after post telling us about the above threats... where are you when it's your guy doing it?

THEY ARE ALL DOING IT!

It's a rigged game.

Damn, I'm furious, sounds like every administration ever.

What, exactly is iWatch? That doesn't even sound credible.

I'm interested to know of these 200 "key positions" given away. 200. That's an awful lot of "key positions" to have.

I'm guessing this piece of candy you found has been largely taken out of context and distorted to fit a certain bias.

Criticism

Both a Los Angeles Times news story and a New York Times editorial referred to the Center as a "liberal group."[26][27

Meh, it's hardly scandalous for presidents to reward big donors with a job. That's been standard practice in politics as long as I can remember.

Uhh, we've been telling you this for years, MrV. You've just filtered that out because it doesn't fit with your view on liberals.

I see, I see! Let me get this straight. Are you angry because it appears that Obama is actually doing what Republicans do. He's acting like a Republican. Rotten to the core and no moral backbone. You should vote for this guy. He's more Republican than Mitt Romney.

I read the article, and it does not mention how its numbers might compare to past Administrations. That would be my primary basis of deciding if this is good or bad, better or worse.

It does seem contrary to Obama's earlier quoted words from the article:

I believe it has already been well-established that Obama is as big of a crony as has ever occupied the WH regardless.

I'm not angry, I'm mocking certain posters that claim the GOP is all for big business, start illegal wars and try to pass laws to make people live a certain way. I merely can now point to 200 Obama crony jobs, Libya and Obamacare and ask "Have you seen the folks you vote for?"

I'm guessing you've never heard the phrase "political appointee." This is nothing new, and it's one of the standards of governmental operation that inhibits effective governance. However, it is what it is.

Anyone who believes that Obama is purer or more wholesome than the people who preceded him in office is simply delusional. However, his track record in this regard is no worse than that of his predecessors. I've definitely worked for some complete morons over my career who were political appointees, and that stretches back to the Reagan era.

Someday maybe people will believe that politicians are politicians. Power corrupts and they all have it. It doesnt matter whether they have a D or a R by their name .... they all do the same thing.

Funny thing is I don't think McCain would have done a single thing differently. If McCain did health care reform he probably would borrowed heavily from Romney's system, he would have gone with a NATO resolution on Libya, and he would have the same crony jobs. What you gotta do is point what Obama is doing differently.

And what was the result of that review?

dont know.. im sure it was eventually deemed not illegal, since money can buy things like that.
but my point is your example of someone getting their friends a job, is less quite a bit less than setting up your friends with multi-billion dollar contracts.
no new news here..

Also did you know that they are still getting new contracts, even though evil old Dick Cheney and Co are long gone?
again, money buys things like that.

if nothing else, the next president can just fire them like they were a bunch of US attorneys that dont hold the same political views.

It's wrong no matter who does it. Period. And when it bites him in the ass, like having a horse judge in charge of FEMA, then I will certianly point out how stupid that was.

i guess. good luck continuing your conservative look-out posts. i hope they're paying you...

I believe that mostly true also. They'll simply wait till enough time has passed until they can re-label another groups sources ideas as their own. By that, I mean any politician.

LOL. You make me giggle makkam. I might however start a fund drive here to get you a keyboard with a shift key...

Meh, it's hardly scandalous for presidents to reward big donors with a job. That's been standard practice in politics as long as I can remember.

How many appointed know convicted Felons or had regular visits with know anti-American radicals that bombed Federal Buildings and killed people?

How many openly self confessed Communists have other appointed?

How many people ahve others appointed that never were approved by the Senate?

When you look at the facts with no spin just straight up look at the truth the picture comed into focus, and it begs that question: Whet in the hell is his end game?

Are those things untrue? Is the GOP actually for big business? Didn't Bush actually start an illegal war, with GOP support? And doesn't the GOP like to be in people's bedrooms?

Now, this doesn't mean the democrats are immune from criticism. This issue here for example, which is not in your list, is deserving of criticism, just as Bush's Brownie was.

And of the two, Obama is a better choice for many than Bush And better than McCain. Perhaps the answer is we need to pay more attention early on and make sure we get good candidates to run. Frankly, I'd still choose Obama over either McCain or Bush. I'd choose him over Romney, who I'd choose over Palin and Bachmann. So while we want perfect leaders, at the end of the day we still have to choose between people.

So, what I'm getting at if you don't like what people are saying about the GOP, either prove it isn't true, or lobby for your party to change.

So my question is, where are the "liberals" that spend post after post telling us about the above threats... where are you when it's your guy doing it?

The question in Washington is never "right or wrong," it's "Republican or Democrat?"

You need the other side to keep you honest. If there were no Democrats, who would tell you bad things about the Republicans? They're sure not going to do it themselves. The converse is also true.

Next time you're wondering where the Liberal outrage at Obama is, ask yourself where the Conservative outrage was during the Bush years.
