The post office is currently $160 Billion in debt; $78 Billion of that since 2007 - 2019.

The US Government used to pick up the deficit each year until a crushing postal workers union strike in 1970. That then lead to Congress passing and President Nixon signing the Postal Reorganization Act which runs the post office as we know it today.

They are not supposed to have a deficit, but the taxpayers pour billions into the USPS every year.

- while some of what said Political Hack wants to do like deactivating flat sorters might be justifiable (are flats the only sorters he is deactivating...probably not) cutting overtime and offering early retirement at this time is entirely uncalled for as was the Friday night massacre at USPS
- In the middle of all that said Political Hack (DaJoy) sends notice to multiple states that some mail-in voters might be disenfranchised
- just as Donald Duck says the silent part out loud and literally tells the world he does not want to provide money to USPS specifically to sabotage it and mail-in voting apparently completely ignoring that sabotaging USPS sabotages much more than mail-in ballots. It sabotages prescription drug deliveries, it sabotages rural delivery, it sabotages the timely delivery of and payment of bills.

The last bullet point is the coup de' grace for Donnie Boy and his buttboy DaJoy on this topic because we are close enough to the election so that even casual voters are watching and its been 3.5 years of Donnie's crap. Outside of his loyal base, nobody believes him or in him and most believe if he is capable of sabotaging USPS. He is capable of any bare faced abuse of the American people. They are right. Its a government guaranteed service written into the Constitution and nobody has written it out of the Constitution. Its not a business.

I have no idea why so many Pols have had it in for the USPS all these years ....but they have. USPS happens to be the most respected US government service even after all of the Machiavellian maneuvers of past Pols. This Trumpian effort is far more bare faced and much more damaging in my view, not necessarily because of the decommissioning of some number of flat sorters. However, I would suggest that any changes to postal service in the midst of a Pandemic and 3 months ahead of an election is flat ridiculous, flat unscrupulous and needs be stopped IMMEDIATELY.
