For those of you who didn't like George Bush because you thought he was too intellectual, Perry is your guy!
Oh wait, that's most Conservatives, isn't it?
It's looking more and more like Perry or Bachmann will get the nomination. It makes me wish there was some credible 3rd party candidate because I really, really don't want to have to choose between one of them and Obama.
this is a post-announcement bounce ; Perry shrewdly stole the thunder from Bachmann's Ames victory; and currently Republicans unhappy with the field (which is a significant percentage) are able to project their preferences onto him since he's relatively new. He will ebb after this.
But it's a very strong position to be ebbing from. I think he wins because he can appeal to some portion of all of the Republican Party, whereas the other candidates appeal largely to one segment or another.
which is excellent. of the choices available, much better that he replace the current President than the others.
Never trust MSN to give a nonpartisan story.
From 2008 to 2010, Texas added more than 165,000 jobs, and over 100,000 of them were from Califormia do to high taxes and over regulation.

I know, I rolled over laughing when he said “I went to Texas A&M. He went to Yale.”
Is he trying to say that he's not as 'smart' as Bush?

Only if you want to distort it to make it look as bad as possible. The more obvious implication of that statement is, "Bush is a rich-kid, out of touch with the people of this country. I was a normal, farm-raised kid who attended a plain 'ol state university".
People who attend Texas AM may be normal by Texas standards. But then again, in a state where high school football is the most important thing in the world, lots of things that are normal in Texas don't translate well outside of Redneck country.

Shakespeare wrote a play all about this ....... MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Perry is merely the new girl in school coming in in late October and is getting all the attention. As the attention of what the ridiculous Texas miracle really is comes to light, he will fade.
Oh.. was it Krugman who wrote that. No suprise there!digging into the laughably foolish abuse of numbers inherent in that claim:
Krugman continued:
In June 2011, the Texas unemployment rate was 8.2 percent. That was less than unemployment in collapsed-bubble states like California and Florida, but it was slightly higher than the unemployment rate in New York, and significantly higher than the rate in Massachusetts. . . .
