Old poster who’s been gone for about 6 years due to a variety of real life issues I may go into at a later time. Regardless, getting that political itch again slowly and there’s no better place to scratch it than here. Dipping my toe in slowly but I’m sure I’ll plunge before too long.

To those that don’t know me, the heavy right guys call me a liberal and the heavy left guys call me far right, but in a pretty solid conservative/libertain minded guy. I prefer principles to policy, so just because a policy may break with current right orthodoxy, if the principle behind it is correctly conservative it’s likely getting my support. I try my best to be fair minded and to do my own research across a broad spectrum. Outside of politics I’m a massive DC sports fan, love to cook, and am a big geek.

For another thread than here in terms of my thoughts on that, but rest assured if the Mods ask me to change it I will in a heart beat. Short of that it likely isn’t going anywhere in the near term

For anyone not familiar with @Zyphlin , he is one of the best examples of what I mean when I say that an ideology is not determined by your stance on issues, but it is how you arrive at those stances. He is also a really great guy and was an absolutely great mod.

Hey, somehow I’m still inhabiting these parts. I remember your time here from a ways back. I am undergoing a career change so, I will force myself to take a break too. But, politics is getting crazy again, election year, Trump getting indicted but being the favorite to win it all, Biden appearing like a confused old man at a self order kiosk everywhere he goes, good times
