Oldest Christian inscription naming JESUS as GOD

No thanks...I really don't care what you believe...
Christians have believed this for 2 thousand years. And it's because Christ is God.And the Apostles taught their successors his Godhood. It's not just what I believe it's what historical Christianity teaches. What you do is re-interpret scripture. The Watchtower tried to be scholarly and seem like they understood Christianity more than those who shed blood for Christ. That's not Christianity it's a bunch of prideful people who d
The early CHURCH at the very least would not have seen CHRIST to be inferior to the FATHER. And the early CHURCH would have been incensed with individual's who denied the worship of CHRIST. They would see those that seek to make CHRIST inferior as heretics and unworthy of the name CHRISTian. The entire Bible is about CHRIST in one way or another. The "Jehovah's Witnesses are all about themselves, their beliefs, their literature, and their translation. And every other church is apostate in their eyes. And they don't care what anyone believe outside their own organization.
That's exactly why called out Arius heretic. And even he had a greater view of Jesus than the Witnesses. He believed Jesus was God but created by the father and thus a lesser. His Bishop never approved and eventually the broader Church condemned him. That's what Nicea was all about.

So, do you think it's okay to celebrate Christmas? You really believe Thomas was that deep of thinker? I know that I upon seeing the risen CHRIST, I would have imagined CHRIST to be GOD. Nothing more, nothing less. Neither Thomas nor I would have had our lexicons handy and you give Thomas far too much credit ----- he was no more educated than any of us and perhaps a lot less. Thomas realized that he was seeing GOD, and I do too!

I cannot help if you refuse to see scripture explain itself. I showed you earlier where Thomas was present in the hard to understand teaching of Jesus that His Father is in him......Thomas is not so stupid not to remember and he now sees the Father 'in' Christ, hence the declaration.

"Christ in you, the hope of glory"......does this make you Christ?.....

I'm very sorry that you only see one half the picture. Additionally, JESUS said that HE was IN the FATHER. JESUS called the FATHER GOD, and the FATHER called JESUS GOD. The HOLY SPIRIT is in me and resides in every CHRISTIAN. The whole picture is the TRIUNITY of GOD. And unless you are even willing to consider this there seems no way that any faith you possess will ever mature beyond material ideology.

They both, the Father and Son come to be in us, so of course I am in the Father and the Son, we are One.....same with Jesus. You can keep on pretending to only have One God till cows fly, but you don't. It's just a socially acceptable deception many have fallen into thinking to say three persons are one being is NOT a mystery, it's a lie.

Scripture has been used to say all sorts of things over the millennia and the trinity is at the top of the apex of deceptions. Absolutely nowhere in scripture, either the OT or the NT are we commanded or even taught that God is three persons......and especially we are never told to hold those who actually believe in One God, the Father of Christ are to be excommunicated from the church and not considered to be Christians. It's only in the minds and hearts of trinitarians.

The Bible is about the MESSIAH/CHRIST ---- the only SON of GOD.

1 Corinthians 2:6-16

God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit

6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived” these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

2 Peter 1:20-21

20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

I know this Spirit, have seen the glory and have Christ 'in' me.......not from repeating scripture, but from experience. I have the "Witness" of His Spirit to my spirit as to know things inexplainable, unutterable, for the human mind has not invented or made-up words which can describe the glory and love.....wholly inexplainable in human terms.

The Trinity doctrine is NOT they mystery spoken of in the NT, so cease stealing the glory of God to a manmade doctrine by claiming "mystery"......the only mystery in the trinity is Mystery Babylon.

Believe me, the mind of Christ would never, repeat never, never, never claim equality with His Father and God.....fullstop, end of story. This is all the proof/evidence we need to know the trinity is false, but then its history is horrendous being choked plumb full of torture, murder, and theft all in the name of their triple-headed god.

God did not die, God did not shed blood......the Christ did, our Lord. God did not become a man, it was His Son, the Christ. Jesus was not God, but God was with him, for Jesus says so several times telling us His Father is in him. Since the glorification of Christ, he comes to us in the same manner his Father came to be in him.......this is the mystery NOT some false manmade doctrine.

The body dies, but not the soul or spirit. CHRIST wasn't always houses in a body of flesh. You bring up the point that you don't repeat scripture. When in your life experience did you witness a resurrection after being dead for days. You claim to know things, but how do you know what you should know, if you haven't regarded GOD's Word. What mystery is the Bible referring to if not the TRINITY or that JESUS is GOD in flesh form?

SACRED SECRET

Centers Around Christ. Since “the bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires prophesying,” “the sacred secret of God” must center around Christ. (Re 19:10; Col 2:2) All “the sacred secrets” of God have to do with his Messianic Kingdom. (Mt 13:11) The apostle Paul writes to fellow Christians: “Carefully concealed in him are all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge,” and “it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily.”—Col 2:2, 3, 9.

Paul spoke of himself as having a stewardship of “sacred secrets of God.” (1Co 4:1) He speaks of the comprehension he has “in the sacred secret of the Christ.” (Eph 3:1-4) He explains that this sacred secret is hidden wisdom foreordained by God before the systems of things. (1Co 2:7) The declaration of the mystery, or “the sacred secret of God,” began with Jehovah’s own prophecy at Genesis 3:15. For centuries men of faith looked forward to the “seed” of promise to deliver mankind from sin and death, but it was not clearly understood just who the “seed” would be and just how this “seed” would come and bring deliverance. It was not until Christ came and “shed light upon life and incorruption through the good news” that this was made clear. (2Ti 1:10) Then the knowledge of the mystery of the ‘seed of the woman’ began to be understood.

The Messianic Kingdom. In Paul’s writings he gives a full view of the revelation of the sacred secret of the Christ. At Ephesians 1:9-11 he speaks of God’s making known “the sacred secret” of his will, and says: “It is according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself for an administration at the full limit of the appointed times, namely, to gather all things together again in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth. Yes, in him, in union with whom we were also assigned as heirs, in that we were foreordained according to the purpose of him who operates all things according to the way his will counsels.” This “sacred secret” involves a government, the Messianic Kingdom of God. “The things in the heavens,” to which Paul refers, are the prospective heirs of that heavenly Kingdom with Christ. “The things on the earth” will be its earthly subjects. Jesus pointed out to his disciples that the sacred secret had to do with the Kingdom when he said to them: “To you the sacred secret of the kingdom of God has been given.”—Mr 4:11.

The Bible tells us that the mystery of God is Jesus Christ: “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2–3).

A “mystery” in the New Testament is something that had at one time been hidden but is now revealed to God’s people. Jesus spoke of “the mystery of the kingdom of God” (Mark 4:11, NAS) that He was at that point revealing to His disciples. The apostle Paul used the word mystery 21 times in his Epistles. In each case, the “mystery” involved a wonderful declaration of spiritual truth, revealed by God through divine inspiration. A mystery is that “which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets” (Ephesians 3:5).

The mystery of God’s will is that “which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ” (Ephesians 1:9–10; cf. 1 Corinthians 2:7; Revelation 10:7). The mystery of God is the consummation of God’s plan in bringing His kingdom in Christ to fulfillment. The kingdom had long been prophesied, but the how and the when and the by whom was not clear until the time of Christ. It is in Christ that God has been manifested to all of mankind. As Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).
Paul said that he had been commissioned to preach “the word of God in its fullness—the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people” (Colossians 1:25–26). That is, it is through the apostles that we have been given the capstone of Scripture; their writings, all of which point to Christ—represent the final disclosure of God’s Word to mankind.

There is no understanding of God apart from a personal relationship with His Son (Matthew 12:50; John 14:23; 2 John 1:6). Christ is the “mystery” revealed to those who believe—as is the mystery of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). The key to having the “full riches of complete understanding” (Colossians 2:2) is to be born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. “The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10).

Paul tells us that, “beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great.” Then he records what may be an early hymn of the church: “He [Jesus] appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory” (1 Timothy 3:16). In that short paragraph, the Bible reveals the heart of the gospel, the mystery of “true godliness.” The secret of being godly was hidden but is now revealed. It is to those who believe in Christ that the mystery is made known (1 Corinthians 2:7–14; Colossians 1:27). We come to learn that we of our own volition cannot please God; we must depend on Christ (2 Corinthians 3:5). As a man, Jesus lived a perfect life (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:21), and so He is a perfect example of how to live. As God, Jesus gives us the power to do what is right. It is possible to live a godly life—through the power of Christ (Philippians 4:13).

God has revealed His complete Word to His saints (Colossians 1:26) who have “heard and learned” the gospel (John 6:45; cf. Romans 10:17 and John 3:16–18), and it is they alone who fathom “the glorious riches of this mystery” (Colossians 1:27). In its fullest sense, the “mystery of God” is God’s plan of salvation through Jesus. We would never have been able to comprehend the way to eternal life without the coming of Jesus, His death and resurrection.

There isn't a Trinity nor is Jesus God in flesh form. There really is only One God, namely the Father and Jesus is the Christ of God. It never was that Jesus is God, but that God was with Christ and in him. This union is now occurring to God's people. As the Father was in Christ, now Christ comes to be in us all to the glory of God the Father.

Today, where or what is God's temple wherein He dwells? Who is our High Priest for this temple? It's spelled out clearly in scripture or haven't they told you this most important aspect of Gods Kingdom? The OT teaches this dramatic change in covenants, Christ brought it, now glorified it's reality to some. "Christ in you, the hope of glory".....I say it over and over for a reason.

Jesus tells us His Father is the only True God.......as he tells us His Father was in him doing mighty works and wonders through him. The Father dwelled in Christ as Christ dwells in us, neither of which makes Jesus God or us Christ.

The trinity is a huge stumbling block for many. Religious pride begins to prop itself up in them, it takes root, watered and tendered it becomes a formidable opponent. "How dare they suggest Jesus is not God", screamed from the pulpits, they sit, listen in awe till over time it becomes set in stone, immovable. The only mystery of the trinity is it's Mystery Babylon. They've made laws to kill and steal the property of all those who deny it......today they simply deny its history or just ignore it, going along with the flow.....don't stir the pot, ruffle any feathers, sit and be quiet, go along to get along or they're kept ignorant.

One needs the basics first which prevents getting deceived.....Number One is in having only One God, simply One, the number One, easy cheesy. This will prevent false doctrine to influence your faith.

This inscription which names JESUS as GOD on a Roman mosaic tile floor in a pray hall/chapel goes back nearly 130 years years before before the Nicene Creed. The implication is that the early Church already held the view that JESUS CHRIST is GOD. This was discovered a while ago in 2005, but often things archaeological analysis takes time. Here is a research article. Here is another:

Did it also have needless caps?

The Latin alphabet began as uppercase letters. So the Romans must have been all the time. The lowercase letters was the invention of cursive styles to adapt the inscribed alphabet to being written with a pen. And speaking of time who writes with pen or uses cursive nowadays? Many kids can't even read a clock that isn't digital ------ much less with ROMAN NUMERALS.

I thought you said that you had no need of the scriptures because GOD visits you? The TRINITY explains the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT relationship. CHRIST isn't another god. CHRIST isn't inferior to the FATHER. The HOLY SPIRIT “The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” Genesis 1:2 And it played a part on the conception of JESUS. "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 1:18 I'm sorry that you cannot see GOD as spectacular. And frankly, even CHRIST is a stumbling block for many. "So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense." I Corinthians 1:23

I have to admit when I say Jesus Christ, it sounds like all caps...

The miracle of Jesus' birth was that he was born a true human being, as us all after being conceived of God's HS. It was't some fantasy of a God coming to be a man. Christ crucified destroys that foolish thought.

Now you lie by stating I cannot see God as spectacular.....you are showing weakness. God did not become a man, His Son did.......God has no need of an "anointing", the Christ did. God cannot die, the Christ did. God never had blood, the Christ did. God never was raised from the dead, the Christ was.

1 Corinthians 1:23.....lol, you should keep reading and learn where your precious doctrine originated.

They say Jesus is God. Ask them if the divine nature of God died on the cross for them. It was just an assumed nature which saves them, not a real person. Then they'll jump to the "mystery" card, lol.

The SON is no less GOD than the FATHER. I'm not less human than my father. JESUS doesn't still possess the same body HE had before HIS resurrection... It's the body that dies. CHRIST commended HIS SPIRIT to the FATHER.

Again, you belittle the scripture: But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. So do you regard yourself as foolish or wise?

If it's subjected to one, it's subjected to the entire GODHEAD.
