It appears Obama is not willing to compromise. Yet he expects others to
Obama's Democrats in disarray over expiring tax cuts | Reuters
With time running out and high political and economic stakes, Obama is pushing Democratic leaders to determine if they can win an acceptable extension of the cuts, which he could sign into law.
Resurgent Republicans are demanding that all the tax cuts be renewed, including those for wealthier Americans -- individuals making more than $200,000 and families above$250,000.
Obama favors renewing the tax cuts only for those at or below those level, saying the nation cannot afford to renew them for wealthier Americans.

So I see you three are keeping busy. never hurts to be completely Partisan, three times in row, with three different "conservatives".
Says the partisan socialist leaning contributor.

Another good idea I support is that Murder should be illegal.
I'm a socialist?
When did this happen?
Dogmatic is a silly thing to be my friend.
I don't support left wing ideas or right wing ideas, I believe there is no such thing.
So, I don't think of Universal Healthcare as a left wing idea, I think it's a good idea and I support good ideas.

In what nation that currently has Universal Health Care, do we find anything close to sustainable? It is breaking the countries that have it now, and they are running from it.

ROTFLOL... you might THINK you're not a socialist, but you line up on that side over, and over and over.I'm a socialist?

What Ails GM
Who knew? Speculation about which welfare state will be the first to buckle under the strain of the pension and medical costs of aging populations usually focuses on European nations with declining birthrates and aging populations. Who knew the first to buckle would be General Motors, with Ford not far behind?
GM says health expenditures -- $1,525 per car produced; there is more health care than steel in a GM vehicle's price tag -- are one of the main reasons it lost $1.1 billion in the first quarter of 2005.

It must be terrible when you've been fooling yourself and are the last person to know the truth about yourself. But you're young. You've got time to learn about yourself.
As for Universal Healthcare, it is a vile socialist program where the government acts as an intermediary to remove wealth from one group and give it to another. It's slow, corrupt, centralized and inefficient. It's why the Quebec Supreme Court ruled waiting lists do not constitute care. And why Kanuckistani's go to the US for serious and not so serious medical conditions.
Milton Friedman called pre-ObamaKare "communist" in nature.
Welcome to your Socialist Outing Party!
.
Now I understand your point about government involvement.
Yes, I can see it all clearly now.
You spend more then any other country on Health Care, and get worse results...
Who's sustainable?
(aren't you guys almost fully bankrupt?)
Yet when people like the Saudi King need medical help they come here
Reuters AlertNet - Saudi King Abdullah leaves for the US for medical treatment

Which means what to those who can't get care?
That's because he has all the money in the world and doesn't want good health care....
I always love when people make the cost argument against UHC. It's hilarious.
Every one in the US can get care
Really? Have you seen the overwhelming lines at the free care given in Los Angeles and elsewhere?
On Tuesday, volunteers provided 1,448 services to about 600 patients, including 95 tooth extractions, 470 fillings, 140 pairs of eyeglasses, 96 Pap smears and 93 tuberculosis tests, the organizers said. Hundreds of volunteer doctors, dentists, optometrists, nurses and others are expected to serve 8,000 patients by the end of the eight days.

The number of people without health insurance has increased steadily since the beginning of the century, now totaling about 47 million Americans. Most Americans obtain health insurance coverage through their employers. With the cost of health insurance outpacing inflation and wage increases, more employers are opting out of the market. Family incomes have not kept pace with health care inflation making non-group coverage unaffordable for most low-income families. Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance Program help to fill in the coverage gap for millions, especially children.

Point is healthcare is available. Medicaid is for poor people
If you cannot afford it, it is not available. Sorry.
