NHL 2013 Thread.

Color me pleasantly surprised about the Kings/Hawks. They look dominant right now. Of course, the Kings lack the speed that the Wings have,so that certainly plays a role.

Heya Drake. :2wave: Well, that and the Kings having some key guys injured or hurting too. If the Hawks win one in these next 2 games out in L.A. I think they will take the Kings out in 5.

Another surprise is there has hardly been any fights or fighting in the West.

I think this might go 4. The Kings are getting slower by the period.

Crosby sucks. Not even at the end of the 1st and goalie change.

At the end of the day, it is just fun watching the Penguins melt down.

Pittsburgh was smoked. 6-1 and now lose both Home openers. Boston is putting that smack down. I don't think Crosby and crew can come back.

Bruins SMACKED Pittsburgh! How about those Bruins? Huh?! I mean really 6-1.

Hurricanes unveil new home and road unis.....

Homes have a Detroit-ish flavor while the roads remind me of Montreal.

My brother in law, who is a longtime Pitt fan(in any sport and every sport) was just talking to me. He already has Pitt losing in 4 and thinks they should buy out Crosby since he is such a loser in the playoffs. I kept a straight face through his rant, even though I wanted to break out the Nelson laugh.

An interesting if brief look at the compliance buyout situation and some players who could be bought out. It looks at it from a Toronto perspective, but still some very good information: Maple Leafs could thrive with compliance buyouts | Toronto Star

On the subject...wanna see who has cap issues going into next year? http://www.capgeek.com/

Three teams with least cap space: Flyers, Canucks, Blackhawks in that order. Chicago looks really bad i particular, with 2 million cap space and the following UFAs: Handzus, Stalberg, Mayers, Bickel, Rozsival, and Emory. They have only 1 goaly under contract and have to be ready for a ****load of RFA's in 2014.

Crosby is the best player in hockey. I would take him in a heartbeat.

Duncan Keith suspended for game 4. Kinda had to happen.

I'm taking some consulation in seeing how Boston has destroyed the Rangers and is in the process of doing the same to Pittsburgh. At least one team was able to give the Bruins a run on their road to the Cup.

Bruins just scored a goal already, and the game just started! That's so awesome! :)

Looking good so far. I wish the Bruins would be a more aggressive, but I'll take the goal lead.

More than anything, IMHO, the Leafs collapse woke up a slumbering team and gave them more confidence then they ever could have imagined. It was like the TSN turning point. This is not the same team that played the first 6 games and 50 minutes to start the playoffs.

It's over time now.

This game is getting really exciting. I'm on the edge of my seat now.

Woo-hoo! Bruins win!

Getting Jagr instead of Ignila is looking like not such a bad thing any more.
