I agree. You are aware that the Republican Party has stood firm against e-verify, right? Those Republican donors who back candidates with anti immigrant platforms while deploying their armies of undocumented immigrants. Keeps profits up. And as we speak not a single supply side solution has even been attempted.

I favor the fine with reward model myself. Hit them where it hurts. Which will certainly result in a functional guest worker program where we can reap the benefits of immigration while minimizing the negatives without ripping up the Constitution and tearing our society apart so trump can compensate for his tiny dick.

IIRC, an eVerify mandate (without the FIT code change) was part of H.R. 2 (border security bill) which passed in the House, but died in the Senate.


I’d prefer having the eVerify mandate, coupled with an FIT code change, which leaves out the possibility (probability?) for ‘prosecutorial discretion’.

I want the issue dealt with. So I don’t “want them all deported” I want a functional guest worker program and forced compliance by businesses.

If that requires their removal first, I can deal with that.

And I absolutely want an enforced eVerify system.

As I’ve said. Controlling immigration is both the right and the duty of a nation. How it’s done is where criticism becomes valid. Terrorizing the cats and ignoring the people putting out the milk that attracts them is an asinine position. Armed assault teams to grab waitresses and fry cooks is obscene and frankly unamerican.

If they get away with doing it to them, it’s only a matter of time before they start doing it to us.

It won't deflect from the failed tariffs, the collapsing economy, the Musk split, the Epstein files being held back showing Trump's involvement in more detail.

All this is doing is inciting Americans, including Republicans and former Magas to take to the streets or now denounce Trump.

We have the beginnings of a civil war Trump wants to justify military control of his people-the wild card is the military itself-its leadership will not allow Trump to use them as political agents of oppression-in the coming dayts you will see a backlash in the military to Pete Hegsweth's threat to use US marines against American citizens from the Marine Corps itself. You will also see the National Guard itself refuse to serve in the rol Trump wants.

Already we see California state and LA police and National Guard at a stand off with each other on the streets,

Trump, Miller, Hegseth. are in their final days. They went too far and to try pull back now is too late. As I write this the very business oligarchs that propped Trump are turning on him because of the tarrifs. He is desperately trying to deflect through the usual collateral conflagurations to distract. It is no longer working.

I predict Trump will not be leading the country in 6 months due to a "health crisis" requiring he step down, The motion to jettison him is underway as we speak.

Tell me again how we are not a police state... that is roughly 3% of the nation arrested every single year using that math.

But that is another thread and argument in the making.

While I agree that 3K apprehensions is not that much by comparison on that level, ICE does not have the level of staffing to match the entire nation's law enforcement numbers. Not even close.

Let's stand back. There are illegal aliens in the US. No one questions that, What Americans are questioning is whether the current federal government's priority should be deporting illegals who are WORKING. The US has always had an unwritten cultural belief that illegals who work and pay taxes formed the underclass that enabled the manpower for many businesses that would not otherwise be able to function because they get paid less than minimumw age and so in return for illegals being willing to be cheap labour and pay their taxes after 5 years they could ask for forgiveness to stay.

That changed with Trump. He now scapegoated all illegals as criminal rapists, drug cartel operatives and murderers. Under the Trump scapegoating, the vast majority of illegals who work and fuel the economy now became the people to hate. Its what fascists do. They need a visible group to hate and blame things on. Call the illegals if you wish Trump's version of Hitler's Jews. Underlying that scapegoating was a racial message and it was no accident Trump lied and made a fool of himself and embarassed all the US lying about South Africa to try justify saying "white refugees" must come to the US to escape genocide but anyone with a sun tan from a genuinely oppressive regime should and can not to the point where he now supports the Venezuela dictator.

Trump's policies and agenda, his using ICE as a gestapo to raid and instill fear in people, his calls to use not just the National Guard but regular forces as political agents are deplorable.

However as we speak LA police, California state police, have refused to engage in specific tactics and harassment of illegals as have other police forces across the US.

Police are placed in an impossible situation. They have to deal with street reality and understand they can not enforce every law on the books and engage in priority policing. That is never easy,

Please understand this-aside from what Trump is doing to discredit enforcement agencies by turning them into political control agents-they can not abandon their duties. One of them absolutely is stopping vehicles on the road. You do not know why they do but the point is every day cars and trucks are caught full of weapons, drugs, illegal people who are going to be used as slaves, prostitutes, child sex toys.

The trafficking of humans across the US and via its borders is a genuine issue and Trump's exploiting the people charged with monitoring that for his own political agenda should not colour your understanding that the human trafficking continues and must be managed-innocent lives depend on it.

The Americans protesting are not protesting genuine police or border control operations. They are challenging the abuse of power and refocusing from that to cheap busts to brag quotas are being met.

Hope that makes sense because turning on the police and blaming them will not address the real issue and that us using the police or military for political purposes that violate the US constitution or refocus priority to non violent working illegals from violent criminals and human traffickers.

So you can only pick something out of what we post and claim we mean something we do not.

A guest worker program allows us to reap the benefits of their labor while reducing the costs. They’ll make real wages, pay taxes, go home in the off season, like they used to before Reagan’s amnesty.

You know all those Republican farm owners and meat packing plants don’t pay the usual labor burden. That is why they have opposed guest worker programs and e-verify. Why Republican administrations have never gone after those employers. They certainly know who and where they are.

Now check you list of approved responses and come back with some other non-response.
