But this Friday, court officials went to extreme measures to ensure it was as difficult as possible to figure out what Mueller's team was doing as the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit held a secret and mysterious argument about a grand jury subpoena challenge.

An entire floor of the courthouse was closed to the public and press for more than an hour. During that time, attorneys secretly entered the courthouse to argue before three federal appellate judges over a grand jury subpoena.

But I found it interesting experiencing the incident through the eyes & ears of some firsthand observers and public participants. After being desensitized by Trump and his supporters, it brings us back to realizing this is some serious **** going down.

I'm surprised (though, perhaps I shouldn't be) that so many in this thread seem to be unaware of this stuff. I mean, it's been going on for months.

The mystery of the subpoena appeal appears to date back to early September, when CNN witnessed several lawyers from Mueller's office entering a courtroom to argue against an unknown defense team before a trial-level judge who oversees federal grand jury-related cases.

The speculation has been running rampant for a long time. I guess it's time for DP members to do their own speculating.

As always, I'll wait for facts.

I've been following it, but never posted it before because there's little to see. But I found the CNN article interesting in its detail, so I thought those details may be of interest.

Mueller's approval has been notching up recently. I think it was 56-37 approve/disapprove in Fox' recent poll.

Damn. This thing was all over CNN. They were tracking the cars coming and going and didn't seem to see any indication of the first family. But yes, someone pretty rich and/or powerful.

Who I want it to be:

1. Matt Whitaker- It's my suspicion that Trump is right to be fearful of the leakers and the wiretaps in his circle. He is doing some illegal crap and everyone including the Mueller knows it! Mueller, like the rest of the public also knows about the high turnover rate at the WH! It is not a stretch to suggestion that Whitaker is a spy for Mueller pretending to spy for Trump. Yup I believe that fits the definition of a double agent. Trump thinks that Whitaker is his loyal servant, the Mueller has employed him to keep an eye out for them, while he tells Trump he is keeping an eye out for them.

Who it probably is:

1. Maria Butina- Russia is sending the signals out to all it's assassins that Butina's time is up. They have publicly disowned her after their pitiful attempt at accusing the US gov't of torturing her. In fact, the US prosecutors have been given the permission to move Butina with the option of testifying under a sealed filing that was made public by 'mistake.'

Part II: Is this a Russian trap set by Mueller? Did they purposely misfile it to see just how important Butina is to their country? Does this mean the reports of Mueller finishing up his investigation is indeed true?


2. Erik Prince- In January 11, 2017 Prince met in the Seychelles with the UAE in which Prince presented himself as Trump's unofficial representative to get back-channel communications to Russia. In December Prince met with Trump's transition team probably to discuss this deal. With the report that just came out recently, about Mueller moving in on other countries' ties to Trussia collusion, I would bet good money that it is Prince.

There's been a lot of wishful tweeting about who it was so let's clear the air here.

Who it Probably isn't:
1. Donald Trump (Himself)- Trump didn't have anything on his schedule today, and he's not scheduled to leave DC until this weekend. Trump has been "practicing" ditching the press for a few weeks. So it's not a stretch to think that Trump might have wanted to keep this indictment all under wraps, but that sounds pretty hard and there's been no indication that Trump has agreed to cooperate. The leaky WH would never have been able to keep it secret.

2. Members of Trump family (except Jared): I've seen Jared slink off away from the family, so it might be him. But it's not Ivanka, Eric or Trump JR (he's in Canada apparently).

Do date, Flynn admitted guilt to a crime he didn't commit, namely lying to the FBI, which he didn't, or at least doesn't appear that the did.

Flynn caved because he was out of money for a legal defense and, as has been reported, Mueller was threatening to charge his son, probably in much the same way that Flynn was charged.

All this goes back to McCabe sending 2 FBI agents to interview Flynn at the White House, and convince him that he didn't need legal representation during that interview.

Yeah, Erik Prince could definitely be a possibility. He'd surely be worth all the secrecy for a plethora of reasons.

I don't see Maria Butina. It's not worth keeping her under wraps. She's already been displayed publicly.

How about Don McGahn? Or maybe Reince Priebus? Or even Jeff Sessions? The speculation could be endless.

Yeah, I heard the press pooled their resources, used a joint email account, and all kept an eye out.
I think they may have had better luck if they had left one person there, and everyone else had used their resources to check on the whereabouts of everyone it "may have been", and see if they could process of elimination it out.
If one group finishes, they just pick up someone not yet confirmed, etc.
Distributed tasks are normally hard to orchestrate, but it looks like they did the hard part...I feel they task they distributed was maybe the wrong one
