Re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET

please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please let it be Ryan.

This will effectively hand the election to the Dems and should result in big victories on down ticket races all across the nation.

I am going to stop in to a church this weekend and light another candle hoping to put the angels on the side of the Ryan pick.

right, he is trying to kill the medicare advantage program, which is a great program for seniors, its administered by insurance companies and provides much better coverage than basic medicare for a very small premium---------------but, horror of horrors, the insurance companies might make some evil profit on it and we just cannot have any company making a profit can we?

Along with this Medicare cut, don't forget if Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa breaks a hip Obamacare is going to make them pay extra for the device they'll need to walk again. Oh happy day for the old folks.

Well they are worried about "just how much in taxes Romney really paid".

Damn the economy, the non-existant budget, the debt (which my great-great grandchildren will still be paying for), unemployment, expanding govt . . . . lets get to the bottom of Romney's taxes for the last 20 years. There has to be a problem there! :2razz:

Nah, the death panel will just kill them.

Re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET

I like this choice, although I wanted Paul Ryan to be PRESIDENT. :)

Or we could call it what it actually is - The Complete Lives System.

Re: It's official - Paul Ryan is Romney's pick for VP

That depends on how deeply independents look. The vast majority of people haven't bothered to dig into the Ryan plan. No reputable economists actually backs it though, largely because it doesn't actually cut the deficit or debt in any reasonable measure of time and likely will increase the deficit. Ryan himself provided computations showing the tax cuts eat up almost the entire amount of savings from spending cuts.

I think if Independents actually dig into his plan, they're going to vote for Obama largely out of fear. Not because they like him. But because the Ryan plan is in many ways a plan to destroy the America we know today.

I think the democrats will do that for them (the independents I mean) with stinging and tough attack adds.

Romney VP Paul Ryan, WI?

Paul Ryan Media Coverage: VP Pick Sends Journalists Racing To Cover Late-Night News

"The fenzy started just after 11 PM on Friday night, when the Romney campaign suddenly informed the world that the presumptive GOP nominee would be appearing with his running mate early the following morning. Immediately, reporters began reading tea leaves about the men on the shortlist. Tim Pawlenty, for instance, was due to be in New Hampshire on Saturday -- not in Virginia, where Romney would be.

Romney picks Paul Ryan as vice presidential running mate

Romney picks Paul Ryan as vice presidential running mate - First Read

Tuesday, July 10, 2012. By NBC's Domenico Montanaro and Mark Murray
Mitt Romney's campaign has announced that the presumptive GOP nominee has chosen House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan as his vice-presidential running mate. The two candidates will appear together at a campaign event in Norfolk, VA Saturday morning.
The official announcement will be in front of the U.S.S. Wisconsin -- which just happens to be Ryan's home state.
After three sources close to the Romney campaign indicated to NBC News late Friday night that Ryan would be the pick, the Romney camp issued a press release just after 7:00 am ET, stating: “Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan: America’s Comeback Team.” Around the same time, the campaign’s “VP app” also announced that Ryan would be the choice.
The Romney campaign billed the ticket "America's comeback team" in the release announcing the decision, saying that Ryan "has worked tirelessly leading the effort to reign in federal spending and increase accountability to taxpayers."
With recent national polls showing Romney trailing President Barack Obama, Ryan is a bold pick. He will excite economic conservatives, and is considered one of his party's rising stars.

Looks like its going to be budget talk all the time.
